What with changing the names of Ranger traits and skills to worse ones?

Because they are shouts now. They need to be shouted in the game. The old names probably didn’t sound well.
“Heal as one!” doesn’t sound as right compared to “We heal as one!” (‘we’ being the pet and the ranger).
“Strength of the Pack!” probably sounded better than “Rampage as One!”.

Honestly, the old names sounded cooler in my head. But it all depends on the VA’s delivery. If they can make it sound cool, it’ll be cool.

And Strength of the Pack better have that cool animation we do when we break into it, just because.

I like Strength of the Pack, because Rampage is also the warrior elite (vs. Rampage As One). Heal As One was just fine though.

Yeah except for all the good condi clears being in the one trait line i think they did a pretty good job of ranger.

Now if they could just unkitten their kitten for my other fave class, ele…

For Wilderness Survival, you can still pick Peak Strength at master level.

No, Peak Strength is gone. It has been replaced by Refined Toxins (apply 6s poison every 10s while above 90% health). It might still be an acceptable choice in a power build as it mainly prevents healing, but not as good as Peak Strength would have been.

If you use We Heal as One, then you probably have it traited, which would give 10s regeneration to allies as well.

Also, maybe you will only be able to hear yourself shout it.

I was making a joke.
“We heal as one!” is a statement, not a command, like other shouts. Hence the confused reply from everyone else.
“Heal with me!” or something like that would be more appropriate since it is a command and not a statement.
