Guild Wars 2

My Ranger has a Nature vs Tech theme (which is to say, I use both tech and nature based weapons and usually try to have one of each on swap at any given time).

For my primary tech-based option I’m going to be using the Legionnaire Staff. Always loved the way it looks, but have never been able to fit it on any of my other characters. Nice to finally be able to use it. Since I also tend to have at least 2 skins of each “type” on my Ranger (he has so many darn weapons its ridiculous >.<) I’ll may also grab either the Steam Staff or the Adamant Guard staff, not sure which one I like better at the moment.

For nature, I’m going with Melandru’s Gaze. I would like to use the HoM staff, but I don’t own GW1 and I am not going to get it just for a staff, so that one is out sadly. As a secondary, I’ll probably go with either the Ogre Staff or the Wolfborn Staff, again not quite sure which just yet.

I’m personally planning on going with the Crossing for my own Ranger. It’s basically Charon’s reed staff, so while it’s a bit deathly it still fits the essence of a ranger, and the little lantern is very cool all around. the color scheme also works decently.

I think I’m probably going to use the HoM staff since that sort of fits my charr’s look. If I can get another teq hoard I would use that staff also, but I don’t know if RNGesus likes me enough to give me another. lol.

Honestly, there aren’t that many staff skins I care for, and the few that appeal to me tend to be either from cash-shop (yeah… no) and/or are too expensive gold-wise for me to ever realistically get (Bloody Prince skin, Ley-line skin, Scythe skin, Tormented skin, Lovestruck skin, etc.)

Granted, I don’t generally like the whole magic thing in the first place, so I don’t know how much use I’ll ever get out of a staff anyway. For now though, I’ll probably try for the Terracotta spire.

Would like it if there were a decent option that ‘retracts’ when not wielded though, so I could have a play on the Psycho Wand. Might use it more in that case, but the only two I see that do something similar are Ley-line and Kasmeer’s, and once again, ‘yeah… no.’

I rather have a quarter staff atm nothing fits my nature ranger/druid
most of them even the now 1k+ BL skins don’t look good to me since they got that evil looking particle effect color
