I would love to see all the white level animals become city pets. Just like we have city outfits we should be able to have city pets, something that only rangers can have.

On the combat side of things I would also love to see our pets grow up. right now they are all juvenile, I think the more we use them as active pets the older they get. This would not change their stats just the way they look, bears would be bigger, eagles would get their white heads … and so on.

I actually have to agree with a few other posters here, a constrictor pet, Boa, (could immobilize) or Anaconda, (could cause fear) would be really neat, not to mention, its animation for passive/inactive/out of combat standing around picking your nose could have it wrap around you like a real snake would.

I love the dolyak idea above, and the idea of having a skritt made me laugh. Wouldn’t be long until I wanted to put it back because it’s stealing my shiny sequined underwear or something. :P

Some good ones here already. I’ll add panda, porcupine, and mantis shrimp.

I 2nd Dolyaks.

Make them tankier than bears with less damage and a short range trample.

Only for WvW!

Snakes. Not sure how hard they would be to animate but they could be like cobras and spit poison (ranged/semi ranged pet).

Dolphins and Sea Turtles for ne underwater pets (already in the game).

White Tiger and Tropical Bird can be added easy to current felines/birds because already in the game as well.

Monkeys that throw bananas. F2 makes them drop a banana trap that makes people slip. :0

SKRITT!!!!!! with f2 steal (just like thieves f2)

No no I know the ultimate irony pet! a sloth and it would hit moving targets hahahahaha

Alpine Stalker…. please! It already exists as a normal mob……. make it a pet!

This awesome pet already exist in-game —→ Vampiric Bats or Cave Bats
F2 – Steal Hp for Ranger & Pet

i want any pet that gives me a perma buff when i put it on passive, that way it isnt a dps loss when fighting the zerg or doing a dungeon. you know, those things that happen at end game.

As a longtime WoW hunter i loved gathering pets and finding rare exotic one.
Something i very much miss in GW2 to do.

Pets i’d like to see are:

Horses (Mythical/regular ones) Are there ANY horses in this game? I have seen none!
Dolphin
Humpback whale (just kidding)
Great White (The shark i have now looks more like a Bull shark.)
Raptors
Skelks
Scales
Scaled drake ( Godlost swamp. Surprised this was not tamable. Best looks of the drakes.)
Rock dog
Warg
Eagle griffon
Dolyaks (Too large perhaps, but it’d be fun see them ram a bunch of mobs like a bus.)
Karka ( Hate them, but the more pets to choose from, the merrier.)

A mixed list, alhtough not a complete one. Some favorites and some who aren’t, but any animal that can fit a ranger should/could be made as a pet.

I’d like to see more pets for ranged combat. I do not dig spiders & scorpions much. What other could be used for ranged? Hmm… Apes/monkeys throwing rocks and debries? Lamas that spit?
