So I currently run full ascended berserker for my Ranger in WvW. Is it worth it to mystic forge some armor for valkyrie/cavalier/knight to gain some more survivability? Or is it not worth losing the damage since we can reposition fairly well since I run LB/GS?

No one can answer this for you. Do you feel like you need more survivability? If so then the answer is yes, add some valk/cav.
