shout build
Yes it include yourself and maybe pet.
Effects have some priorities, if you are in a party the priorities are: yourself > party member > other players > your pet > other minions/NPCs
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
hi all if im going for shout build should i use rune of the trooper to remove condition from myself?
Shouts remove a condition from each affected ally => does it mean only allies but not myself and pet?
they’ll remove condis from you, and 4 nearby allies, i believe it prioritizes your pet, over another person, but i’m not quite sure on that, i’ve never tested it myself.
Trooper runes are very good on ranger because we have 2 extremely short CD shouts (Guard and We Heal as One), which makes us have ridiculous amounts of AoE condi removal, very fun.

I’m almost positive your pet is prioritized over non party member players since your pet is always considered “in a party” with you.

Trooper runes only remove conditions from you and your pet on ranger shouts. “Each affected ally” means each friendly affected by the base effect of the shout – so even if you give them swiftness and regen through resounding timbre, the condi clear only works for you and your pet.

It may be … the I get confused in the bottom of the list, it sure makes sense :P

That’s not true at all you got it completely backwards, a good example is the offensive shouts warriors have they affect enemies but friendly players within range will still get a condition removed from the rune bonus.

This is false, they remove condis from nearby allies, not just you and your pet.

Look, I play a shout build with trooper runes. Ever since the runes were changed to Trooper runes from Soldier runes, the effect has been limited to those affected by the base effect. When I noticed this, way back, I was shocked. I would appreciate it if you’d test it before telling me I’m wrong, for I have tested this many times, last time as writing this comment to check if they had changed it. Nearby allies are not affected by Trooper runes when using ranger shouts.

IF that is the case, it is a bug as Robert Gee stated during the Reaper reveal that offensive shouts should remove a condition from nearby allies when used with Trooper Runes.

I know this is wrong since i’ve been running a shout build in PvP since the trait changes, and have used trooper runes with ranger in the past and they’ve always worked when I used them.
Additionally, if what you’re saying is correct where it only works on those “affected” by the shout then the ONLY person that’d ever get the condi cleanse would be the pet, since they’re the only one who is ever affected by it.

I tested and you are right, that is still a bug though and not how they should work it doesn’t work for any of the ranger shouts but it works for all warrior ones even though the ranger ones (traited) do affect friendly allies while the warrior ones (untraited) don’t.
You > Party members > pet > ppl around you > ppl minions > NPC

So do they still work in PvP since those are still soldier runes?

I did a quick test (no one was online so i had to use a traited spirit), and it worked with Protect Me! and Strength of the Pack, but not with Guard, and We Heal As One!, whether or not it works with Sic’Em! i have no clue since i can’t target two things at once…

It works as intended with soldier rune but the ranger shouts have smaller radius so it’s likely not to help your allies very often.

They remove conditions from you and the pet in pvp but not on nearby allies with any of the ranger shouts, but all warrior shouts remove conditions on allies regardless of who the shout itself is actually affecting, I have tested in both pve and pvp enviroment.
Added this to the ranger bugs thread in the bugs forum.
thx everyone as long remove condition from myself is more important then everything else haha
have fun pewpewpew
