sick em is bugged
So you fought this thief for 20 minutes straight?
like 4 or so ..simply pushing key for activation doesnt seems to work ..
Did you try to activate it after the thief went stealthed? You need a target to activate the skill, so you need to use Sic ’Em before the thief goes into stealth.

i had him in target he went stealth and i immediately tried to activate sick em which did became blocked and did not react…
if its as you say i have to keep active target how in the hell I had to know when he goes to stealth if skill become blocked as soon as i loose him until i get target again..
there is nothing in skill description that i have to hold target( how can i hold invisible target ????) no matter what or its become unavailable
Sic’em will prevent the target to go into stealth for the duration of the shout and there are many ways to predict a stealth skill during a fight if you know how the char works, though I do believe this little nice bonus is not very effective when it is most needed. good thing it’s not it’s major function.

It can not be used while the target is in stealth. It does not remove stealth.
It can only be used to prevent a target from going into stealth for a few seconds.
Pretty weak, yes, but not bugged and unfortunately working as intended.
These 1v1 stealth spam thieves should be ignored as trolls, cause that is what they are there to do. Don’t get trolled, just leave the scene or better yet lure them into more peeps.

Sick em won’t do much to help fight the current plague of D/P Shadow’s Rejuv thieves.
Just ignore them until the 10th when they get sent back to the dark depths of Nerfdom where they belong.
Yup sick em is pretty underwhelming. It has to be timed absolutely 100% perfect and hit the thief right before he does his big shadow refuge getaway. Pretty much the only use of the skill is running with a zerg and using it right as the zerg converges on him so they take him down in the 4 seconds he can’t shadow refuge away.
I go for hours without ever selecting a target – melee weapons just dont often call for it with cleave in wvw. Sure spvp is different – but why balance everything around spvp when its the least utilised gamemode.
Why should I need a target selected for this ability side function to work, why not have it being a radius effect.
