Roy makes Revenant stupidly OP while trashing ranger.

He believes Ranger can’t have too many boons by ruining We Heal as One, while Revenant gets all boons easily. (As well as the most OP heal in the game, Glint’s damage conversion with no cast time) They also have crazy strong one-hand sword and shield, better than any class using a one-hand sword or shield.

Also all Rev’s skills seem like superior version of other classes.

Dude you Rangers are just insane with this WHAO stuff. Rangers aren’t ever meant to get that kind of boon play. That’s how the class is. You never had it before this. You get it for a patch, it has unintended level of boon addition, and when it gets fixed you guys act like you always had it. If you want to play a high boon class, play one. However right now all high boon classes (Guardian, Elementalist) both have low HP to compensate for it. You willing to give up 300-400 vitality for boons? No? Then let it go.

As for SOTM, again the ability lacks consistency. Saying “a decent player will land it perfectly every time” can be countered just as easily with “a decent player will avoid it landing perfectly every time.”

Fury, swiftness, regen that old build can achieve it even w/o WHaO?
Protection spam by wasting your heal skill and a utility bar and no cleanse and sustain?
Quickness as to against any decent player you have no chance of stacking quickness IN COMBAT? (You can’t prestack it since pet swap quickness only trigger in combat)
The fact that one chill or boon removal will instantly kill this build?

Since that trash build only last one day, not many people have the previlege to notice how trashy WHaO synergy actually is, because it lacks cleanse, lack sustain, vulnerable to boon strip and condition, and sacrifices everything to get that boons while forcing to use inferior weapon sets with no burst. (One-hand axe is weak)

A signet burst thief is doing better than that one-trick pony WHaO build. Same mechanic of wasting all utilities just for boons, but one actually has burst and one doesn’t! (ranger with axe – torch / sword – warhorn, that can utilize WHaO has no burst potential whatsoever lol)

The rest of your argument makes no sense. You go on for 3 paragraphs how bad that build is, but you seem to be arguing for it to be returned? Why? You can’t ask for a build back on one hand while going on how bad it is on the other. Why would you be asking for a bad build to be returned? Could be it wasn’t nearly as bad as you’re presenting and, in fact, with near permanent Quickness it’s spike/sustain damage was incredibly overpowered?

See it’s over generalizations like this that is why you aren’t ever taken seriously by developers. Not everyone can self-stack to 25 might. Many classes can get some stacks, but very few can actually reach let alone sustain 25 stacks of might.

Necros, Engis, Eles, Warriors and now Revenants can all stack might to 25 fairly easily. That’s over 50% of currently available classes in this game, so definitely not “very few”.

And the reason why I can’t take you seriously is cuz you never played it, and can only theory craft some unpractical stuffs that’d only work against dummy. The best example is that quickness stuff. On swap, your pet lose all boons, so you can only start stacking might, fury, quickness, while in combat, burning your heal skill and stunbreak/cleanse AT THE START OF COMBAT for no reason, leaving you completely vulnerable for 30 seconds. No competent foe will waste this opportunity to kill you.

You know NOTHING about ranger.

Also ALMOST ALL CLASSES can easily stack of 25 stacks of might to themselves if they build for it. Do you really know your stuff?

Thief can easily do so with signet build.
Guardian can easily grant high might for the full party with one cast of staff 4.
Necro can easily get 25 might by spamming auto-attack on their signet build or enter death shroud . (Blood is Power makes it even easier)
Mesmer can spread 25 might to the whole party with one cast of signet of inspiration.
