The .5 seconds recovery off sword stab is pretty major. It helps chain attack 3 for sure, and I’m assuming it helps infiltrator (which is also a stab) as well. It would help the flexibility of most attacks and also increase dps.

Isn’t this change referencing the Sword/No Offhand 3 skill, “Stab”? Or does it actually effect AA third swing and IS swing as you’ve mentioned?

Yeah, you’re probably right. Whew, I’m glad they reduced the aftercast on Stab rather than Vital Shot.

My thought exactly so I am led to believe that CnD crits outside stealth, but I’ll be testing it when I get home.

They Might have just adjusted CnD critting while in stealth for consistency – No one intends to use CnD from stealth, but if you’re slotting Hidden Killer, go for a CnD at low health, trigger last refuge, then tag a target with your CnD, you’re going to be doubly kitten if it doesn’t auto-crit like it should.

That’s exactly what they did, the patch note isn’t even slightly ambiguous. Saying that it now works with Hidden Killer is obviously saying that it never did before, we just didn’t notice because nobody does it intentionally.


Pretty happy overall, Mug nerf sucks but meh, the buffs are great and LS removing 2 boons is kittening awesome.

I haven’t had a chance to test. Hopefully it’s what i specified and not only the no offhand sword #3. It did also specify stab skills, plural, although that may be just reading too much into it (i was more banking on all the abilities mentioned having pretty much the same animation).

well if its true and works as a 100% crit no matter when used….would make up a little for the 250% dmg nerf on mug :P YES 250%! bc the ones that use it hard have 250% or 270% which is said to be 20% above cap but idk.

It’s not a 250% damage nerf lol. It’s a 57% damage nerf. Anything over a 100% decrease in damage would be healing the target instead of dealing damage period lol.

Difference from 6300 to 2700 is 3600. 3600/6300 = .5714.

well what i meant is it canceled the 250% dmg boost. so 60% ….. max dmg boost = 100%(2.5) hence the deduction from nerf is 1/(2.5)= .40 or aka 60% deduction….just excluding X which = variable dmg…which is irrelevant to reduction bc its on a RNG withing parameters of dmg max/mins

The only change I ask is that they let me cancel larcenous immediately. Miss my dodge frames something fierce.

Overall cost is the same but now allows for repositioning before the 2nd attack hits. I’ll take that.

You could move during the 2nd hit of Flanking strike to position yourself the entire time. Not that it matters since its in the past now.

Yeah I went home for lunch today and boot up GW2. I admit, I was mislead. This should have been under the bug fix rather than in the Profession.

As for FS…I’m not happy.

There’s was a reason why the first strike strips the boon, so that the second strike hurts.

….sigh.

Some guy was said that cloak and dagger isn’t for stealth but it’s a attack we should use.. Ya let’s waste 6 initiative for fun. >.<", when your 1 skill in dagger/sword are much more effective that using another 5 and being revealed. If that’s all this buff does; this is a really stupid change.

Basically the shortbow auto attack couldn’t miss before (like almost every projectile in the game), this patch now enable to dodge them it seems, and since the travel speed of that weapon is relativly slow, you will probably be able to dodge it with ease at far range.

The enemy don’t need to dodge at all, he just need to shift it position (left / right) and the arrow will miss him. i.e. the enemy must be stationary for you to hit. I keep missing after the patch, guess its retirement time for my thief.

Basically the shortbow auto attack couldn’t miss before (like almost every projectile in the game), this patch now enable to dodge them it seems, and since the travel speed of that weapon is relativly slow, you will probably be able to dodge it with ease at far range.

Get used to it. We Rangers have had it always like that. And btw you can hit moving targets.
