Looks overall like good changes. Acro looks like it could be fun to play around in order to get a higher skirmishing ability but there’s only 1 issue I’m noticing:

Without preparedness baseline we don’t have room to experiment with these possibilities. I love trickery as a line but I love DA more and I can’t play without mug’s extra heals and damage so the mandatory nature of trickery and da make it quite difficult to play around with the idea of an S/D thief using acro with dd for sustain and 1v1 capability. Wanna try it real bad and I’m sure many others have thought of possible uses for acro as a line but before we get carried away with buffing thief and trying to equalize lines we have to remove the mandatory nature of some lines in order to give thief the freedom it needs in it’s trait selection. Otherwise no amount of buffing will do the class any good.

To summarize, I think you guys are on the right track so far with the changes, but I feel very strongly that making this baseline change would be the next step in bringing thief back to viability and giving it the diversity it needs to be truly balanced.

Us Warriors have made the same argument about Fast Hands for almost a year now… and that hasn’t happened and probably will never happen (especially after today’s preview).

Sadly, only Mesmers and Eles get vital traits baselined.

Sad thing is those classes are complaining about their supposed “doomsday” because they can’t be immortal bunkers.

That aside, it seems like anet is getting a bit more serious about their changes, and hopefully that will prompt them to include abilities like preparedness into the classes baseline so that balance and diversity can be a bit more present in the game.
