(About the introduction: I did never claim to be a good writer)
Since the daredevil provided us with a elitespec focused on front lining, evasion and agile combat, i decided to go the other way and develop something based on stealth. I therefore added stealth augments, revealed counters and stealth sources.
It was not my first intention to create a class so…dark and Necro-like, it just went that way by its own, but I can’t say that I wouldn’t like it.
The new weapon is a focus, the new skill category is corruption, all added non-weapon skills feature an alternative version when in stealth.
The specialization is designed to be viable on both power and condi builds, the condition I focused on is bleeding, since DA takes care of poison.
I tried to keep balance in mind, but that is not completely easy. I do not expect you to over think each and every cooldown number, just tell me if you see something and think ‘nope’.
I have also originally created some skill icons, in order to lighten up the wall of text. They suck unfortunaly. If you think they would help you not getting bored, tell me, but you have been warned.
I would actually have created this thread under ‘community creations’, but since literally everybody seems to do it in the class forums, I will just blindly follow the masses, hope that is alright.

Traitline: [Acolyte] passive: Gain access to the corruption skill category, gain access to the focus off-hand weapon.
Minor traits:
: Runner: gain [swiftness, 5 sec] upon entering stealth
:Hunter: Deal increased damage to targets, that have not been successfully hitting you within the past 2 seconds [hunter, 10% damage, 10% condition damage]
: Cold-Blooded: You are no longer affected by [taunt] or [fear] while in stealth. Gain stability when floated, sunk, launched, knocked back, knocked down, dazed, stunned, pulled while in stealth. (icd:18 sec), [stability, 4 sec]
Adept traits:
1: Deadly shadow: Remove [revealed] on critical hits (icd:12 sec)
2: One with the night: [Revealed] now decreases the duration of stealth-effects by its remaining duration instead of removing them.
3: Master of hiding: [Revealed] will no longer remove the stealth effect. It will render you visible if within 450 units of an enemy. Stealth augments will not be applied while [Revealed]
Master traits:
1: Dark salvation: You will now heal for a percentage of outgoing [bleeding] damage [40%]
2: Experienced ritualist: All corruption skills have their recharge reduced by 20%, using corruption skills in stealth will now increase stealth duration by 1 second.
3: Lethal opener: Staying in stealth will now grant [Lethality, 1% damage, 1% critical hit chance], all lethality stacks will automatically be removed 3 seconds after leaving stealth. [lethality] application interval: 1s, max stacks: (UPDATED):15
Grandmaster traits:
1: Dark presence: Apply chill and poison to your targeted foe while in stealth. Range:300, [Chill,0,5 sec], [poison, 2 sec], application interval: 2 sec
2: Bloodline: Whenever you apply [bleeding] to a foe, also apply [bleeding, 4s] to up to three nearby foes. Radius:240, (icd: 2 sec)
3:Pack hunter: All stealth augments will now be shared with nearby allies, regardless of the stealth source. Radius:240, Number of targets:5

Enemies cannot see the circle. All allies inside the circle will be stealthed. The stealth is not being applied ‘by yourself’ You may move as long as the initial stealth would have lasted without canceling the skill effect.

(pvp/pve) d/d or d/f condition focused build. The traitline obviously supports the use of bleeding as a source of damage. It would probably fit very well in the pve condithief builds, featuring additional healing, better damage against multiple targets and a good weaponset for condi+ some self buff.
In pvp the d/d build would probably still go with the daredevil for extra evades, but it should be very possible, to use the acolythe as an alternative.

(pvp) Stealth-lamer. d/f or d/p. Stealth, build up lethality, backstab, deadly shadow proc, stealth, keep enemy from healing with dark presence, backstab, repeat.
Its lame for the thief, its lame for your foe, you will certainly loose a point, but if you want to play this way: now you can. It should be possible to maintain almost perma stealth with this + shadow arts.

(Pve) stealth supporter. I cannot think of many scenarios, where this would be useful, but im especially looking at future raid content. The idea of having some players having to stealth your team on certain attacks is not too far-fetched, and pack hunter should make sure, that players will be thieves, as it is our rightful place.

(Pvp) stealth supporter. Blood circle+ shadowsteps, displace, shadow refuge, pack hunter. A thief could now have his place in the middle of a teamfight and could also be used to get downed allies out of danger/back up. Again a very annoying build to fight against, but annoyance is what we are known for.

(pvp) Stealth and runner. A more fun and faster paced variant of the stealth-lamer. Probably going with master of hiding to move in and out of direct contact. Could be extremely fun and dangerous to play with zerker gear/amulet.
