Hey guys its Babylonian Assassin here and those of you who know me can attest that I am a diehard s/d thief and have played it since launch. I am here today to divulge my and my fellow thieves secrets to success with s/d. Enjoy
The Build:
The build is the least important part of a S/D thief. To be honest it doesn’t matter one bit what build you run. My favorites are the conservative 2/2/2/2/2, the adventurous 4/0/4/0/4 or the classic 0/0/0/0/0. Once again I must stress that what build you run is not very important as long as it has a sword and a dagger. Secondary weapon doesn’t really matter either as long as you primarily fight with sword and dagger.
Gameplay:
As your build won’t be very good compared to most other specs don’t expect to win many fights. Instead prepare a lengthy list of complaints about the build, performance and gameplay style of your opponent that you can rattle off every time you die. A things I recommend complaining about are condition builds (ALL OF THEM! Regardless of class), pu mesmers (both phantasm and condi), d/p thieves, stunlock warriors and the list goes on.
If you can’t think of anything negative to say about your opponents build don’t give up! There are plenty of other things you can blame for your loss. My favorites are lag, glare, lag, sweaty palms, stacks (remember this only works if you are roaming!) and LAG!!!
A Closing Word:
It is of the paramount importance that you never and I repeat NEVER die without an excuse. It is unacceptable to do so. If you are not as creative in the art of excuse making as some s/d thieves I recommend you join a guild and surround yourself with identical minded individuals so collectively you can prevent your feelings of entitlement from being tainted by rational thought. I won’t name any guilds specifically in fear of flooding them with new recruits but if you look around you will be sure to find a few
TL;DR JUST READ THE KITTENING THING!!!!
