I have always followed debates on which runeset best for WvW. Everyone focuses on something different be it strength, stacking might, permanent swiftness or fury and the like in a power build.
I was intrigued by the possibility of going for it all and what would be lost if I did. I started with the premise of 100 percent boon duration and then trying to measure the effects of such in game.
I include three builds I have been toying with along with my perspective on the tests I have run in game. Note I am not suggesting these great builds that will break the meta. The meta is something I do not care about but in my limited tests these builds do offer for intriguing gameplay.
As acrobatics trait line a must to get the full 30 percent I have included weapon sets best suited to that line but the weapons used and or utilities chosen are not the premise of this exercise.
Note I am using the NEW holiday food that adds boon duration and MIGHT on critical. A sigil of strength also used meaning more might stacks on crit.
This build premised on building lots of might stacks via stealth and dodges to make up for lack of power overall. Stealth is used as much as is possible along with those dodges. This will give permanent regeneration and in tests in normal combat i easily stacked 15 plus stacks of might and without too much difficulty was able to get over 20. On every heal using withdraw one gets 10 seconds of Vigor. Swiftness is permanent. Fury has a high uptime of 20/30 seconds.
Stability off assassins reward is now very interesting here. You get a full three seconds after a reveal on attack of immunity to all CC. Daggerstor will generate an extra 8 seconds stability after it ends making you immune to such CC. Furthermore daggerstorm on its own can buld 10+ might stacks.
The second ignores stealth and goes to the more traditional trickery line. Pain resposne will get you 20 seconds uptime on Regen. Swiftness and fury become all but 100 percent uptime and VIGOR is a full 20 seconds on a steal.
This build does not generate as much might as does the first but there a whole lot of dodges allowed. The 21 second Cooldown on steal is only 1 second longer then all those boons will last. One can take assassins equilibrium if they wished and get that added stability.
This the latest iteration. Having seen what 100 percent boon uptime can do I wanted to scale back and go to a runeset that did not too severely compromise power and precision.
Note these still remain very much works in progress. The two highs I take away from this is that 3 second stability after an attack from stealth and that 20 seconds vigor. That said even better is stealing from a mesmer and getting 20 seconds of all boons plus 6 seconds stability and 10 of retal
So far its fun. I am not sure where it will all end up.
