So normally I will burst an opponent with a basi, assassin’s, shadowstep signet, steal, backstab. However, I am only getting like 6k on backstab. I really like d/p because of its versatility, so I don’t wanna switch to d/d, and I have to stay 6 in cs obviously, and then I need the sa steal stealth trait which costs another 4 pts… I put the last 3 in for 5% extra dmg in the bottom trait line and to get the 3 extra ini. I know that going into da will boost my dmg, but need all my end of the trait line traits… (hidden killer cuz I have crap luck for backstab, stealth steal trait because I need it for burst and can’t waste time and ini going a 5-2 combo, and the 3 extra ini for easier ini management). Can someone please help me with this problem?

Try S/D ele for nice burst, that’s what I play these days when I want to see some tasty crits.

As D/P, you can go for 30 SA with Hidden Killer and stack stealth/might if you wanna rely on heavy backstabs while having good sustain. Otherwise, you can play a burstier build like 30 trickery, but it has a different play style altogether and you’re not as reliant on backstab for bulk of your damage. Either way, Hidden Thief is a really bad trait IMO and really limits the combos you can pull off with Steal.

i recommend 6 points shadow arts trait D/P in WvW but not in PvP. watch this video to get some tips. and always choose low HP or squishy targets. if everyone in pvp match plays semi bunker condi then i think u shud switch build to S/D

I’m still amazed that you can backstab for 9k on a necro in pvp. I could never get close to that number.
