I really don’t know why are too many thieves that thinks playing D/D makes them pro.

Let people to play whatever they want, if they choose to use the most effective build or strategy . . . whats wrong with that!?

If they BP+HS Stealth, people complain.
If they use Mug+CnD+BS Combo, people complain.
If they Evade with S/D, they complain.
If they Evade with bow, they Complain.
If they stunt you with S/P, they complain.
If they CnD on mobs, they Complain.

I play all sets of weapons, even conditions, and i find my self a lot more cheesy and coward to perma stealth on mobs with CnD that wasting my ini with BP+HS combo.

Every good build in this game will be called cheesy, and this will never stop, you should use your time improving the game play instead.

Nope. I agree with you DD overall is a bit tougher but is better for some areas, but my posts still stands. Saying DP is cheese is only saying DP is cheese, you are assuming that equates to DD being pro, where then is my opinion on SD SP etc?. I for one have no opinion on the OP’s video, but I feel like the OP isn’t the only one being judged here

DP is cheesy only in 1v1s and only if DP-user decides to abuse BP+HS*x once gets beaten to low HP. As long as DP is played ‘as it was designed’ it’s a well-balanced and competitive set. In ordinary WvW-ing DP is nothing to worry about as there are many counterplays to it unlike in 1v1s e.g. Obisdian Sanctum or OP’s eng fight – these situations are perfect example of why people cry that DP is cheesy aka ‘HP low? Gonna BPHSHSHS and reset lawl’.

Anet put D/P in the game for a reason, and that reason was so people could play it, NOT so you and others could go around ridiculing and flaming anyone who uses it. end of story, now go argue about how much you dislike d/p on another thread please.

All you have to do with D/D is ‘HP low? Gonna CnDCnDCnDand reset lawl’.

Then if the word cheesy for you means high reward and low risk then:

1.- Shadow Refuge is cheesy.
2.- Shadow Step is cheesy.
3.- CnD is cheesy.
4.- Mug is cheesy.
5.- P/D is ultra cheesy (since almost all the cheesy stuff to work).
6.- Stealth Stomp is cheesy.
7.- S/P stunt spam is cheesy.

And i could go on and on and on . . . and only with this profession because others has a lot also.

Just play the game, let the others play the best way the can i lets stop the hate and making feel other people “noobs” just because they play the most useful and popular builds.

You know, some people, not many, plays only to have fun.

1. mesmer didn’t try a single time to CC thief, to knock him off refuge or BP

2. if i was that engi i would grenade the kitten out of blackpowder spot/crait refuge/use pull when thief laid down BP + if that fight took place in spvp, engis team would have won long time ago

3. i didn’t bother watch till the end but what i saw were necro that probably had no CDs left getting jumped on, a thief spamming 1 and running away putting his back open, a ranger doing exactly same mistake and not attempting to fight at all…. the skill level in wvw is sad and this video just shows how bad majority of players in wvw are.

I won’t be leaving any comments on OP gameplay since apprently any kind of criticism is considered being rude and offense and gets moderated pretty fast.

The guy made an effort and he did good .Ok his gameplay wasn’t optimal but he did it ok. The players against him wasn’t the best bout ok he beat them .He uses D/P so what? Is it a reason to flame him? I hate the critisism against other fellow thief in the thief tread .Instead to encourage him and give him more advise you flame him .All of you who are so good and specialist you post videos when you play great and win .What about the times when you don’t and you loose? Aren’t there any ?I don’t think so .

OP, thanks for making the video as i always enjoy watching others play, hell i was even watching a guy craft the other day lol. It’s also always nice to see someone take the effort and actually post for others, either way you look at it posting this CANNOT hurt the community.

Although i agree with some of the people in that they were trying to provide constructive criticism unfortunately doing so on the forums automatically comes across as an attempt at shaming. This is partly because it is so “public” and also because others are quick to jump in and try to come across as “pro” while at the same time generally being negative about everything besides their own godhood.

Let me ask you this OP; how many PM’s have you received from people giving you this advice or help? I’m sure the reasons behind these posts will become clear when you answer.

As for some of the posters, several of you have posted your own videos, builds with “your” name attached to it (as if 70 numbers allocated to 5 slots in 5 and 10 increments could actually be unique…in a demographic of millions) and state throughout that you are dueling some of the “best” or the “BEST” of XYZ class.

So firstly, say’s who? other players, elitists, basement dwellers? the job centre? where is this scoring displayed?…nowhere. So get off your high horse.

Secondly, One of the poster’s in here who i won’t name uses a particular P/D build which revolves around stealthing and heavy health steal etc. Now that build was around in a similiar form since 2012 and was considered THE cheese in WvW. So if your going to shame or hate on another person’s post its best to follow the whole “Pot, Kettle” view.

Or you know, just don’t post.

Seeing as there are no videos that use p/d except mine, you’re talking about me. I will let you know that my p/d is in my offhand and I rarely use it anymore. S/D is what’s fun, might swap pistol for sb who knows.

Amonatory, no i wasn’t talking about you or any video in particular. I just mentioned a poster who has posted such builds in other topics etc. When i was talking about the P/D build in particular it was a forum post not a video.

I also didn’t mean to call P/D cheese over D/P or atleast come across that way. I was just pointing out that negative people’s negative opinions however delivered often get in the way of what this is all about; having fun playing the game, your way. So when someone posts a video of them having fun and then gets alot of negative (some positive dont get me wrong) responses it just (imo) tarnishes the whole community.
