Disturbed by what I am seeing in PvP.
Ahh the joys of WvW and hotjoin sPvP
Its also a bit of a symptom of 1v1 fights in team based pvp arena’s.
They think this is a FPS game, like Counter-Strike. Jumping and running around there can save your life. The same can’t be said about GW2 though XD
And I totally agree with you, those are the people who say that thieves are OP
Running around in circles works in PvE. You should just stop attacking me so I can kill you. K thanx.
I highly doubt ArenaNet bases their class balancine on lower-level hot join play.
But saying that, Thieves are really hard to keep track of at the best of times. I personally don’t feel TOO overpowered on my Thief. High damage output and mobility, sure, but it wouldn’t be a Thief if it didn’t have that.
But obviously, in hotjoin play, Thieves (and by the same logic, Mesmers) can be complete pubstompers if you know what you’re doing, and playing against people that don’t. It’s pretty much free damage for both if you can keep moving and keep hidden.
Oh yeah, and the Thief nerf was really needed. Seriously.
I have to disagree Milo. Thieves are far too easy to kill right now. I literally just ignore thieves if I’m running to a cap point, and then dominate them to the point in a 1v1 that they either leave or get killed.
Only 1 thief has ever beaten me 1v1, and he knows his stuff in a 15 minute duel.
I argue that the fact that thieves have had more nerfs then any other class combined (There was a post somewhere counting all of them) is a big sign that Anet indeed does take what’s being said on the forums too seriously.
thieves are too fragile. but in anets defense….trying to balacne a class that can die as fast as it can kill…..can prove quite tedious and deceptive. if they gave thieves like 15% more armor. i think everything COULD be fine as is. and the 3 sec revealed back.
