It was an odd change, I never dropped aggro unless I worked to to so….and I did work to do so. It one of the few things a thief could do for defense. Now, dodge/evade is all I do.

Anyway, I stopped using stealth a day after the patch. My use for it was basically removed. So, it is a “duelist” or something now I suppose and not a thief. Not as fun to play anymore, really. It has become a sort of wierd, undefined class. I may go all ranged, not sure.

Stealth now for me is mostly a waste of resources, and in fact a Taunt. The aggro it generates negates it’s use for me, really. My necro has become more fun, I’ll probably play that more now. It works as it seems to have been designed at least. Trait lines are goofy in some ways but it least it is not a pseudo class with semi working mechanics.

I suppose it has no bearing on pvp stuff, but in pve it is a significant change. Some people like it, some don’t. Was a needless change to me, it never dropped aggro unless you worked to make it do so. Now, it is a mob magnet.

Not a fan of the change. Sorry.

To whomever said thieves would stealth and do nothing while stealthed perhaps forgot to examine the thief traits. There are many skills that are activated by stealth, and some which only are active while stealthed.

From what I understand it’s not possible to revive after a wipe by stealthing out of agro any longer. Bummer.

I like the change, stealth feels more complete in a couple of ways:

- Stealth doesn’t drop agro allowing npcs to reset back to full health(our unique ability that gives us an amazing advantage in pvp all of a sudden works against us in pve… whaa?).

- Building on from that, thieves can’t accidentally undo the progress of a boss fight by stealthing all party members(I’ve never accidentally done this, but party members have noted their concern when I use refuge to help out).

Sure, we can’t lose all agro from mobs as easily as we used to, but before our solo play was so badly effected, it used to be too easy to mess up your solo progress fighting a champion, now we can take advantage of a pve friendly stealth that works to our advantage during pve combat as it always has for pvp.

Honestly who hasn’t gotten kitten off a champion reset because you disappeared for a second?

Can’t say the bug in question has ever happened to me on a champion…. it was primarily skill points.

I don’t mind this change in particular – I often found it quite amusing that you could sit on the enemies agro after CNDing out and they would not even attempt to come for you…

What I fear is that although this change seems innocent enough, stealth will repeatedly be struck with nerfs – and through no fault of PvE’s! Apparently shadow refuge eventually will not be able to stack with itself, so theoretically… you would be revealed by standing in it the full duration…..!?

This is just what I’ve read from the SoTG thread but honestly guys, it doesn’t seem like stealth is going to be worth the effort in time (PvE wise). Ofc I use all the weapons so I won’t stop stealthing entirely – I just don’t focus my build around it anymore. Mega-dodging w/ 15 Acro, withdrawal & SoA + SB is still incredibly good for survival. I’ll just miss my former play style I guess.
