I also heard thief is invincible when in stealth, and not only that but if you hit him while he’s in stealth, it makes your HP go down instead of his. Friggin OP class needs nerfed.

Hitting a critter also counts as target for cnd.
Maybe you just didn’t see that something was there.
Also either melandru or lyssa runes cleanse all conditions,
i run them too, pretty neat. Also if he hits that hard he likely
has a low hp pool – cnd -> heal while stealthed -> full health.

I think you have your weapon sets wrong…if he is hitting you for 8-10k then he is running D/D, not S/D…. I know there are speed hacks, but I have never heard of damage boosting hacks, or invisibility hacks….. Also 10% health for a thief is about 1k health, so a heal can easily bring him to full health, also hide in shadows can cleanse conditions, are you talking about 9 bleeding stacks? Or a total of 9 different conditions from the party? Otherwise if it was 1v1, I have no clue how you would attain 9 different conditions on a gaurdian….
As for the stealthing, it was probably just a well timed chain stealth, it seemed like he was having the revealed debuff when he activated it, but hit C&D when it was gone.
I have encountered this bug actually, sometimes when I cnd steal, I get the stealth from cnd but it fails to teleport me. Maybe he found a way to reproduce it or it was a coincidence
I just spent the past 2 hours in WvW stabbing holes in keep walls when I happened upon zergs when I met another thief who showed displeasure in my hole-making and thus challenged me to a duel.
So I pulled out my Greatsword and began smacking her around until she grabbed a mechanical horse out of nowhere. That’s when I decided to turn myself into a mechanical dragon since dragons > horses and trolled her by spamming interrupts. I knew my trolling was working because she managed to dodge one of my more powerful attacks and then slash me in the back with dual greatswords. It hurt but not as much as the Flare I shoved in her face.
I decided to kitten with her for the next 3 minutes. I can’t describe how furious she was so I went back in time and recorded it.

The condi cleanse could be runes of lyssa, and the low health pool combined with a heal(that cleanses all Burn/Bleed/Poison) would mean nearly full health, even from 10%(two types of regen via Stealth if traited). Did he CnD an ambient critter perhaps? 8-10k on what I’m assuming is a gaurdian with ~3000 armor is possible, through some really GC gear/build though. I doubt he’s 1-shotting yaks, youtube video or it didn’t happen. you can predict the reveal timer and stealth up the moment it happens, did you see how much time was left?
No exploits, just a lack of knowledge and possibly some exaggeration.
C&D precast + a shadow step of some kind (Shadow Step, Steal, Infiltrator Signet, etc) near the end of the animation could make it look like he gained stealth by C&D’ing nothing.

I you hold ’thieve’s guild’ key and press L2PL2PL2PLOLOLOL then release, you summon 2 Zhaitans instead of 2 thieves.
Best part is that you can stealth them with shadow refuge too
oh i did that but what came is was stone cold steve austin, i tried to SR him but he jump the dolyak and stone cold stunnered him now that was 1 hit, the dolyak bounced off. he then proceeded to stone cold stunner me and on my corpse he opened 2 fresh can of beer and poured it all over me, banged it and drank thenhe vanished. – PS wont do that advise of yours ever again.
I can make wild accusations without screenshots too. I saw a guadian today who could hit 10k on spectre orb, never dropped below 99% HP and farted exploding cupcakes that would one-shot anyone nearby, friend or foe… I don’t have screenshots, just take my work for it. =D
Thieves cure conditions and also heal ((Slightly)) in stealth. I often chain a good CnD together with hide in shadows for a burst heal and a good drop if i’m really conditioned up. On top of this he could have also used utilities to get into stealth, did you WATCH for cloak and Dagger swings specifically? Because if he wakittenting that much damage, you probably weren’t alive long

Besides the obvious over exaggeration, there have been players launching attacks way too quickly. I’ve received 6 death shroud auto attacks from Necromancers in < 1 second, dealing 4K per shot (I know that nobody wants to believe this, but you’re bound to run into some of those players if you WvW roam enough). So it is plausible there is something similar going on with Thieves.
