Same thing with Shadowstep, yesterday, since Temple of the Silent Storm is in
the Turney right now, it totaly destroyed the most important skill I valued
in the game, and now it’s useless -.-….
yeah….considering the net range is about 600…..it also makes heartseeker twice as productive for distance vs init costs.
Yeah been noticing this too. I still run SB as my OH set, but its mostly for the cluster bomb (blast finisher for team combos) or the ability to infiltrator arrow out of immobilizes, etc

Now that said, I would argue that all of the shortbow’s skills should be 1200 so the effective range of 5 in particular wasn’t awful.

That wasn’t the bug they mentioned in the patch notes, also every pvp map was
designed to have a few of those teleports, based on the teleportation ruleset. (No Jumping etc.)
Also if it wasn’t meant to be like that, why is there a difference between leaps and teleports?
A friend and I tested this and ele and mes can still port on everything that shortbow can’t. I don’t see the issue with it to begin with. Letting a thief be mobile and able to scout and run away from zergs was legit. Anet you are starting down the wrong road a exodus is coming from all players and professions.

If these were “bug fixes” then why did they wait 10 months to fix them? This was a direct nerf (not to only thieves) to teleports in general. There was some that should not have been there or that overlapped. But these should not have been classified as “bug fixes”.

So its not only me then. I have noticed some awkwardness in my attempts to teleport in wvw and failing. I had assumed I was just making a small mistake as to where the margin was. Guess it’s time for a new secondary. I’m think of going S/D to utilize shadow step and FS/LS. What do you guys have in mind?
Maybe make it so that shortbow 5# has 50% chance of getting you up stairs. Oh and 0.1% chance of dropping you into the Teleportania. Would fit to the current theme of the game.
Shadow step from sword doesnt climb on cliffs anymore. E.g. at Greenlake tower towards the bridge to hill castle. on the left. You wont be able to port up there anymore. You will just get ported against the wall.
I am dropping SB for roaming solo. HS and IS (towards) a mob will do the same job.
Didnt they say they wanted to add more mobility to thieves? Not a very good start then.
