So what ya think?

Thief

  • Updated skill facts to include the number of targets for various skills.
  • Steal: Fixed a bug that caused players to occasionally steal an item from targets they could not reach by shadowstepping.
  • Thieves Guild: Added creature descriptions for the summoned thieves.
  • Ambush: Added a creature description for the summoned thief.
  • Black Powder: Fixed a bug that prevented the bullet fired from this skill from bouncing when traited with Ricochet.
  • Dancing Dagger: Updated the skill facts to use number of bounces (3) instead of maximum targets.
  • Trick Shot: Updated the skill facts to use number of bounces (2) instead of number of targets.
  • Dagger Storm: Fixed a bug that caused this skill to continue creating whirl projectiles after the combo field it was using expired.
  • Disabling Shot (Short Bow): Fixed an issue that caused the character to briefly move back toward the target when firing at an enemy behind the thief.

Also, as I and many have forseen, the Strength rune got nerfed:

Runes and Sigils

  • Rune of Strength: The 4-piece bonus has had its might duration reduced from 10 seconds to 5 seconds for both the Major and Superior versions. The 6-piece bonus has had its damage bonus reduced from 7% to 5% while under the effect of might.

To answer my own post (friendless), I say yay for the disabling shot fix! Otherwise it was just some polishing of the tooltips and other minor things. And I will still use my strength runes.

Ricochet supposedly works with Black Powder now. Not a big deal. Before the patch, the skill was bugged and the shot would never bounce.

That’s the only change I saw when I skimmed the list.

For me steal changed a bit:
I use trait 3 in deadly arts and trait 8 in shadow arts, before the update i used to use steal to do damage heal and then stealth, now it get me revealed, dunno if anet wanted to do it this way or it’s just badly changed.

Mhh, sounds like it might be an unintended side effect of the fix related to Steal, you should probably report it as bug.

I’m glad they fixed the shortbow 3 bug, that thing was awful. I’m also glad I didn’t bother with strength runes now ^^

Have you guys even tried using sb #3 ingame? It still ports you back and forth and animation isnt much better, it just doesnt moonwalk…

I have, it’s a lot better than it was. Frankly I don’t expect it to be changed back to how it was before they messed with it, I’m just happy it feels better in combat now.
