Hey there,

I really have about 0 experience with how to choose my traits, weapon choices and utility skills.

I level only by exploring atm, a bit of crafting when possible, and when a friend is on we go trough the story line together.

by the weapon skills I chose to go S/P as main, cuz it gives me the option of aoe damage which seems important when exploring, and pistol cuz it got the black powder which gives me a few sec of not give a crap about damage taken.

d/d seems 1v1 so i tought it could b a good second to S/P only to make tough mobs drop fast, but because I had survival issues, I went for the obvious short bow to get the ranged advantage + i’m using caltrops to slow them down when I take on range, and signet of malice to heal during.

for utility skills I always pick up signet of shadows just for mobility, and caltrops to survive that annoying waves of enemys coming at me when I’m low on health, and for elite I go with thieves guild cuz it seems more helpfull than the others currently.

anyway, when it comes to traits I got absolutely no idea what to do.

I’d love it if someone can point out the things that are wrong with my tought process for choices of weps, utility skills, and if someone can give me any viable trait build to level as I do.

sorry it’s been a bit long, but thanks to anyone who would help me, I really got tired of dying too fast, or killing stuff real slow, gotta balance this somehow.

This is correct for leveling.

Just get the ini regen trait 20 deep into the acrobatics line when you can, and the signet to regen extra ini so you can spam more black powder, then wear all offensive gear and put the rest of your traits into damage lines.

I’ll tell you what I’m doing and it’s working beautifully. I can drop champs solo and with ease. And I can take on groups without any problems too.

Start with this
Gear for conditions. Between Caltrops, your dodge-trops from the Trickery line, and spamming Death Blossom, you’ll be throwing out some serious aoe bleeds. Then you can just kite away and watch things melt.

Same gameplan, but as you level, trait like this
Your last 10 pts place to your liking. But this will keep you alive, give you plenty of stealth, and keep your endurance up for more dodgetrops. And with the added traits you can swap Shadow Refuge for Skale Venom for more condition damage.
