Off-hand torch
I’d much rather torch offhand be the thief’s next weapon before the much-clamored-for rifle. It’d be an excellent opportunity to give thieves access to burning as well as a fire combo field (for Mightspam with cluster bomb).
Torch sounds thief-like indeed.

Stealth is not an innate thief attribute, just something you can choose to use. Saying torches wouldn’t work with stealth is like saying “Torches? But how could you apply venom with it?”

Example skill:
Illuminate:
Throw your torch at the target area to cast Revealed on foes inside and create a fire combo field for a short duration. Allies who are not inside of the torch radius are stealthed for a short duration.
In other words, it would stealth via a reverse Shadow Refuge.
Attempting to go in stealth with the torch offhand should give you the revealed debuff, along with protection (or swiftness/vigor if they still want us to never be tanky, Burning speed haha) and you should burn people when you hit them for the duration of what the stealth should have been.
Basically the exact opposite of stealth.

It’s not stealth-like, but it is bandit/highwayman/robber/pirate/brigand/looter-like; all archetypes that are, quite frankly, more related to “thief” than the ninja archetype we’re currently forced into.

torch makes sense, but i still want my damn burst build rifle, thats what theives are right? bursty?
Slot 3:
P/T: Reposition: Evade backwards while leaving a small fire wall at your previous position.
D/T: Flash-Stab(bad pun, I know): Blind your foe, then stab him in the guts with the dagger, applying 3 stacks of bleeding
S/T: Burning Strike: Strike with both weapons at the same time, dazing the opponent. If you get blocked, burn the target for 2 seconds.
Slot 4: Dance of Fire: Whirl around at high speed, confusing nearby opponents and evading attacks.
Slot 5: Light and Shadow: Become invisible for 2 seconds, leaving behind a fire field.
edit: Just a bunch of ideas. By no means is this meant to be a complete skill set. They just don’t really synergize.
The mob has spoken and the turrets shall be burnt at the stake.
