Nice video! P/D seems fun in a power build, although imho, I feel like it’s still a little cheesy in duels. Nevertheless, I appreciate your effort in posting this video! Also, I like your song choice but I was really hoping you could have done a slow-mo stomp with a cool finisher when tsunami was dropping :P

i think its the weapon set which demand you to use almost all the skills with good ini management and play tactically accordingly to your enemy acts as its direct dmg is the lowest compare to all other weapon sets
d/d uses 5+1 mainly and in the right moment 2
d/p 5+2+1 and needs good ini management
p/d condi 5+1+3 with almost no ini management needed
s/d if you master it its so much fun but can cause dizziness

i am glad you think its cheesy as its so uncommonly used to verify that its so easy playable (or maybe in duels all thief weapon set are cheesy )

just curious, but why’d you decide against pistol mastery? do/would you switch (practiced tolerance) to it once you’ve obtained full guard stacks in wvw?

+10% dmg with main hand pistol is still very low compare to 1k health but you can switch whatever you like even critical haste for more dmg as the CS trait tree is wide open for any trait which benefit your game style.
if it was 20% more dmg on pistol when crit than it would be another story

it really seems to me that anet try to take thieves from the 1 shot kill spot to the more evading/dodging game so enemies will have the chance to kill you. this why shadow strike so awesome
