Now before I go on, I’d like to say that at some point I might slip up and call Basalisk Venom, “Bessie.” That is because it’s how my guildies and I have dubbed this skill while on vent, and it’s kind of embedded itself into my head… Reader discretion is advised.

Now then, I’m kind of confused on Basalisk Venom’s mechanic, and how it pertains to Venomous Aura (the number XII Grand Master Trait in the Shadow Arts line). I know that Petrification does not stack, but for whatever reason whenever I spread Bessie onto my teammates, the effects seem to last longer…

I will also like to point out that I have Residual Venom (XII in Deadly Arts), though that still doesn’t mean anything…

I’m just confused… I’ve counted it out while in dungeons, and at times Bessie seems to have petrified a boss, or single target, for longer than 1.5 seconds whenever everyone in my team got her effects too… Am I missing something, or am I just really bad at saying “One Mississippi. Two Missi-..?”

So if you hit the enemy first they have 1.5 seconds petrification, if then half a second later the next person in your team hits they reapply that 1.5 seconds and so on so forth.

Technically if you where coordinated with a full team you could have everyone stop attacking and apply their stacks as the last one ends for a total of 7.5 seconds stun, however you’d loose a lot of damage.

Basically comes down to people don’t all instantly attack at the same time though at best I’d think the final hit from your team would come at most say 1 second after first triggering the venom skill so your looking at around 2.5 second as a reasonable estimate of how long you’d get with a venom shared BV
