I played rogues in vanilla beta and infiltrator in DAoC. I know how big an advantage stealth provides when soloing in the open field.

Stealth in GW2 works nothing like any other stealth I’ve seen.

Just because he alt+f4s doesn’t justify why he plays thief. I’ve had guardians alt+f4 on my ele. Yea…explain that. Must be cause he doesn’t like dying. He should have rolled a thief instead of a guardian by your logic.

Good point. Stealth is stronger in this game than those other games due to the frequency of it’s in-combat usage.

Most (look up the definition of this word) of the ALTF4s I’ve personally (keyword here) encountered have been mesmers and thieves who ALTF4 in stealth to try to hide their lameness.

What you’ve noticed is merely a correlation “(look up the definition of this word)”, not a causation “(look up the definition of this word)”…and only because you went out of your way to pay more attention to these specific “(look up the definition of this word)” instances that involved a thief, or a mesmer, compared “(look up the definition of this word)” to other classes.

Stealth is actually weaker “(look up the definition of this word)” in GW2 compared “(look up the definition of this word)” to other games because of its core design and high requirements “(look up the definition of this word)”.

The reason why I put the (keyword here) on personally was to stress that it was just an anecdotal observation. I see that you decided to ignore that and waste your time tearing down your strawman. Just like when you ignored the usage of the word “some” to bolster your argument.

In-combat stealth in this game is far stronger than in WoW or DAoC. If you can’t see and acknowledge that then there really is no point in arguing with you since you are either dishonest or ignorant. Out-of-combat stealth is weaker. That’s it.
