Thieves have the least amount of weapon choices (since eles have attunements) so I think it would be nice if they got a main hand mace or an off-hand torch. That way we can have a cool non-venom stun on the mace main hand to combo with the venom for a nice stun lock play style. The torch would also obviously have to cause burning which would give condi thieves something that pretty much every other condi build has. Also I just wanna make an asura named Tonberry Emperor (already taken) and wield a dagger/torch haha!

ugh, good luck with the lock play style… people will QQ so hard it will probably do close to no damage, and easy to interrupt/dodge stuns.

One new offhand alone with nothing stealth related and more dodge, counter or cond removal-like skills would give us a vast amount of new choices for stealthless builds.

Need Assassin revived. :O

IDK, I think the offhand would have to be stealth related to match the black powder and cloak and dagger of the other two off hands. Would make sense, a thief snuffing out a light gives stealth or something like that.

Stealth just has a bad reputation from perma stealth builds. Stealth attacks are part of the skill set so I think having no stealth is limiting as well.

i will always be able to perma stealth when i want to, just not as easily of course. Stealth chaining has always existed for us non shadow artists.

This is more about lack of weapons, though i can see why adding anything to a class that already has stealth would be concerning.

I’d actually like to see a build that relies on a medium amount of Stealth. Not the constant steath-spam of Dagger Off-Hand and not the “no stealth” we see with S/P or Shortbow.

But I don’t see how that would work with Initiative.

Personally I’d like to see another 2-handed weapon so the 1-5 skills can be better designed and don’t have to work with the assumption of being used with various off/mainhands.

On the contrary, I have difficulty sticking with just two weapon sets we have so much verity.

Sword/pistol is nice for melee distance AOE, pistol/pistol with ricochet is good for ranged AOE and single target burst, shortbow is good for utility and ranged AOE, dagger/dagger is nice for cloak and dagger, backstab and heartseeker and the mobility of on demand evades.

If you want verity removed, try play a necromancer. For a hybrid burst/condition build which is essentially the only viable PvE build, you’re stuck with scepter/dagger and axe/focus.
