WvW 4 second reveal like PvP
In order for this to work they would need to finish splitting WvW from PVE. They implemented this before, and while it didn’t have much of an effect on WvW thieves it ate into PVE thief DPS pretty badly. If they were able to add it without hampering PVE thieves then I wouldn’t have a problem with it.

They did an across the board 4 sec reveal, which horribly messed up PvE thieves, who then complained (rightfully so) heavily, which led to it being rescinded everywhere but sPvP (since WvW apparently follows the same rules as PvE in coding).

I don’t think the excuse that WvW is not PvP is a valid one. As many other skills have gotten the PvP treatment in WvW like confusion. And the main concept of WvW is fighting other players not npc’s.

This is the main reason I don’t sPvP. Trying to play with 4 second revealed badly messes with with the flow of the D/D weapon set.

that aside tho…thieves are crippled in SPVP by the cap so they are generally weaker. why make them even weaker in spvp? makes no sense if ut hink about it.

Do you run D/D in PvP? If not then the 4 seconds reveal is indeed not a problem as other sets have something to compensate for that extra second
The thing is, if they do the 4 second revealed, it will affect d/d more severely than most other builds. More d/d thieves will play d/p. it will reduce build diversity, and that is something that is not good. Additionally, there is a limit to how much you can do about reveal. We have a limit on time in stealth, and the reveal, IMO, should be at least one second shorter than the gained stealth time, or this would destroy the whole tactic if the stealth mechanic. The 3 second reveal is perfectly contrasted with the 4 1/2 second stealth time, IMO, and it already makes surviving something more than a 1v1 more difficult. I feel 4 seconds would be too destructive to the thief, and so I must say no.
