Guild Wars 2

Hey y’all

I purchased GW2 about a month after it came out and played until around level 55, but ended up taking a long break. I came back a couple weeks ago and am enjoying the game more than ever. I’ve fallen in love with my GS warrior.

I’m currently 78, but will be 80 tonight. I’d like to focus on end-game content (I realize that it is more open-world content, fractals, and dungeons than actual raiding). I plan on doing WvW on him, and I leave arenas for my terrormancer.

So, my question is, once I hit 80, how do I begin the pursuit towards my legendary sword? More specifically, what the heck even sword should I shoot for? Do all GS warriors use the same legendary weapon?

This might belong more in the general forums than warrior, but I figured y’all would know best. My crafting / end-game knowledge is severely lacking.

Well since u said u wonna do wvw, i would say, when u hit 80 with warrior , go engi or ele or , well any other class and lvl to 80 for wvw. Warrior is joke.

WvW is mostly zerging, so I don’t mind being underpowered in that regard. My main focus will just be min/maxing gear and doing PvE content on my warrior. I plan on doing structured PvP (arenas) on my necromancer, not my warrior.

Warriors are fine in wvw and you can easily find a place that works for you there. If you like zerging, then that works. You can also roam with warriors fairly well, depending on your server.

As for the Legendary, there’s nothing anyone can say because it’s basically aesthetics. Greatsword is the only one that gives you choice in that regard, so go look at people carrying them and see which of the three you like best. Twilight is obviously the most expensive to make.
