I notice that the Berserker Elite Spec datamine pic is the same picture from the Norn intro when he is shown transforming into a humanoid animal.

looking back on the torch datamine, I also couldnt help but notice that it to features animals on the torch.

Could be a interesting concept.

Norn has this as a racial skill, but racials are designed to be weak versions of class skills similar to Slyvari Racials and Ranger skills.

So having real useful animal transformations on Warrior could be pretty cool.

Whats your thoughts on this?

Transformation is understood as a non-functional mechanic, thus traits and certain items wouldn’t affect it. I’m more inclined to believe it will be Survival, maybe even Spirits?

Prob gonna be lousy af. useless. crappy. still doesnt deal with the current condition of a warrior right now. after 6 months, hot released, all warrior players are forced to jump to revenant. thats how they gonna get the new class up and going.

Transformations would be infuriating, the class is a weapons master by definition, not an Animorph. Torch doesn’t sound too good either, if it was my job I’d focus on duel wielding and unique F1 mechanics (maybe even burst stances rather than finishers).

As a player that only occasionally play my warrior anymore(played him for well over a year as my main) I hope that warrior comes back to the fore as a frontline juggernaut. It almost hurts to see so many bow and rifle warriors anymore.

One thing’s for sure – Robert Gee is designing the Warrior elite spec so we’ll know it’s going to be good. He did Necro/Reaper and Mesmer/Chronomancer.

That certainly gives us hope. Hopefully Gee will deliver. I would love to see some new style of fighting for the warrior that isn’t already in other classes.

My bet is the warrior use torch to lit himself on fire. He could deal AoE fire damage and/or act as a fire combo field. He could also transform’s weapons into some fire variation or summon some special version like ele. He could summon Fire based great hammer, greataxe and even barefist. (To be different from other summon weapons.)

Are you sure that you are playing the same game? I mean, in WvW and PVP (even pro players) playing GS/Hammer with rampage and they smash like crazy. In PVE warrior Gs/ Sword/Axe or Axe/Mace is still strong. Rifles are used in a few circumstances where one hit from the boss means insta death.

That sounds like a good idea.

There is a picture of the Warrior with a great axe in the shout window. Wanted to point out that some other classes have hints at their Elite specialization in other windows as well. Necro has GS in one of their non Elite Specialization windows as well.

Lets see if i was right about Transformation.

Could take on characteristics of the animals not necessarily transform. Similar to udyr from league of legends.

Will definitely have to be limited to characteristics or skills like the Ranger GS ones.

Transforming to animals is exclusive to Norn and Spirit Blessings.
