Cause not too long ago, mesmers were doing similar thing; well, instant death stomp, and was fixed within minutes.
If this isn’t an exploit, it’s an insult to Arena.net class balance vision.

are you kittening kittened? this skill just does a knockback with mediocre damage. how the kitten is this even comparable to instant death chaos storm?
This has been around for a good while. Not an exploit, but it does need a cooldown though.

Give it a 20 second cool down…which is how long it was taking the warrior to climb back up the stairs and throw himself off them again.
Just towards my defense as well; I actually found a topic about it, over a year ago. They’ve discussed about using it as a great trait for wvw already. Not an exploit, but I would think it would need cooldown as to where the game is currently at right now.

Hahaha I know you’re all trolling about the cool down thought, but even if that applies. You’re aware that all falling reduce damage traits will share the same fate regardless of what bonuses the trait provides them right?

The only part about this trait and for other classes, is if you’re attempting to go down a steep ledge/slope, say going down the side of Rata Sum, it’ll proc like 5 times in a sec XD it comes in handy in a lot of situations
Thank goodness Burnfall is here to save the OP warriors from themselves! We demand an immediate correction of truth and justice to this unjust and game-breaking skill! Instead of this game-breaking exploit obviously designed by satan’s minions, this trait should root and stun the warrior for 5 seconds and he should take +150% fall damage, to compensate for warrior’s innate, unjust advantages over every other class ever in all MMOs ever. Even then he should be able to wipe zergs single handedly with his unjust and untruthful lack of truthitude.

Lol an insult to Arenanet balance vision? This very situational skill that require clever use of game environments.
As for video- when im defending tower like that I equipe gs/sword+warhorn to jump faster (and sword leap is great for aiming where you want to land), but sometimes I just use Hammer and after Death from Above i drop ES and other cc.
Its very good to buy some time or just to annoy people. Thank you for remiding me how awesome it is
There is something in this game called stability. I know, it is a very obscure buff that is only truly known to warriors but maybe if a couple of guards and eles would apply some of it to the guys on the rams this video wouldn’t be so LOL. I know it’s a stretch to expect people to slot some stability

Death from above is a great trait that Anet implemented in and fits the theme of a warrior.
That skill is very useful when saving teammates or just like Splat Zone posted buying sometime until reinforcements shows up.

They all have cooldowns. I don’t know them all off the top of my head, but the warrior one is 1 second, the thief one is 8 seconds, and engineer is 20 seconds.

I have used Death from Above for WvW wall diving since forever. Pair it with a hammer, follow up with an Earthshaker + Staggering Blow, and you cause all kinds of hilarious issues.
Plus, it doesn’t have a target limit, if memory serves. At least it didn’t back them.
So good.
EDIT – Also, back when Berserker Stance didn’t give Condi duration reduction, it was on like a 25 second cooldown, so you could pair it with Healing Surge to always have full Adren for Earthshakers.
So much fun to be had.

So as you can conclude – the more powerful the falling trait, the shorter the cooldown. Only reason I rated the Guardian fall over warrior/ranger CC is that protect can still be useful to you if no one is in range, and if you happen to tumble down stairs at fall damage… lol. Mesmer’s fall skill I would actually rate third to last due to the ridiculous cooldown, but the interrupt and how lucky you are on RNG can make this a solid fall skill. On the other hand, the Necro fall is weak even without a cooldown, and it’s on a 45 second XD

Heh I’ve done this to harass the enemy at the gates before. There is a pratical limit to this tactic however. If there is 30+ outside they can do alot of damage to you just by spaming AOE at your landing zone potentially downing you before you can get back inside if you don’t use immunities for survival. SPaming CC at a warrior doing this also tends to result in a fatality
Good fun all around but you were lucky none of those guys was smart enough to start throwing any CC your way after the first couple times you did that considering I didnt see any CC breakers on your bar.

I actually have two breakstuns; Stomp and Dolyak Signet. If they cripple, chill, or immobilize me; I have Cleasning Ire as my trait to remove conditions.
