With the buff to berserker stance, what do you think about changing adept traits to 25% stance and 25% speed (and swapping signets dolyak/stamina for berserker/balanced)? 10 seconds of condition application immunity seems pretty strong.

My personal take on this is that it’ll be largely situational.

If you’re in a match with a necro/engi (the majority of matches nowadays) you’ll want Berserker’s, Stamina, Balanced/Dolyak. In this case 25% stance is better, but you’ll want the combo of Berserker + Stamina to negate most condition damage, so would still want 20% signet recharge meaning that either Dolyak or Balanced would work. Hell, you could even run with Lyssa runes to easily combo Berserker’s Stance w/Lyssa as to ensure you can’t get corrupt booned to death (pop Berserker’s, get your signet of rage off and proceed to lollerskate as those conditions instantly disappear).

If you’re in a match w/o a necro/engi picking up Endure Pain in place of Berserker, Dolyak over Balanced, and Shield Mastery over Sure-Stance, and even something else in place of Stamina is the way to go.

If you’re in a match with a balance of both forms of damage you’ll have to decide how to mix and match.

TLDR: No I wouldn’t drop Signet Mastery, since you’ll still probably want to use Signet of Stamina, despite the Berserker’s Stance improvement. However, Sure-Footed is a pretty nice choice now too.

Final Thrust before 50% yay or nay? It should come back up in a fight at least once. Unless you’re fighting a Thief.

Do it if it’s a gauranteed hit. you’re looking at 3.5-4k crit.
which is better than 2 auto attack crits in the same timeframe.

Don’t if you think you’ll whif.
Because auto attack will land more often and thus higher probability for damage.

How do you gear for WvW?

I was playing this exact build in WvW for months before they added burst mastery(minus zerker gear). I even tried it in PvP with average success. Your are right about furious being much better than Burst mastery if you use a bow and I never though about using berserker gear with it. I does add quite some punch that was lacking when I was playing it. I tried it back in WvW yesterday and it literally a blast…

I duoed with a GS guardian and it was quite a nice combo. We lacked practice but I could definitely see the potential.

mitch first of all i’m a real noob but i’ve been trying this build on HotJoin and it seems to work great

The ideal combo i use is LB 5 → LB 3 → LB2 → LB F1 → Change Weapon → Sw 2 → Shield 4 → Sw 3

This should kill any squichy. It has a nice sustain too

I just would like to ask what you guys think about changing Healing Surge for Healing Signet?
And Signet of Stamina for Berserker Stance? Nowadays removing cond is not enough, a necro can just put them back on?

I’m curious and hope I can get a response but why do you say finally viable in Tpvp. I’ve never been at the top levels of play for Tpvp but I’m curious about the MaceShield/GS builds that are running around. (note: not trying to derail thread)

And how do you feel about the chance of it getting nerfed because of the angry forum posts that are flying around about it,
