yea warriors suck now

D/D Elementalist takes no skill but is good at everything in the game.
Mesmer is unfun to play against and does everything better than thieves.
Hoping those two get gutted with nerfs

Just to be clear… the normalization of the movement on weapon skills to no longer be affected by movespeed is what is making you feel slow now … correct?

If you look at the patch notes … several other classes are affected by it as well.

If you look at those same patch notes, you should notice that this also means that Cripple/Chill won’t reduce the distance traversed by those skills.

You lose something and you gain something. What that does to Warrior meta is yet to be seen, but it is supposed to be consistent across the board.

It also brings consistency between such abilities and teleports … as neither now has their range increased/decreased by movespeed bonuses/penalties.

After the movement skill changes, movement abilities are now nothing more than sub par teleports. They are highly telegraphed, cannot be used to reach ledges, cannot help you escape an immob, cannot help you move while stunned, and are slow (compared to the instant nature of teleports).

I did some tests comparing GS war mobility and Mesmer mobility using only blink. They’re about the same now in terms of raw speed.

This situation is of course not limited to mesmers and warriors. The relative speed between classes that rely on mundane means of mobility and those who have teleports has changed dramatically in the favor of those who can teleport.

Personally, I played some wvw today (roaming), and my gs mobility felt inadequate. The benefits from having movement impending condition immunity while performing a mobility skill feels like very weak compensation. Personally, I run anti condi food/ runes/ dogged march, so they didn’t bug me much anyway. Additionally, Before the patch speed boosts negated part of the speed penalty from condis, limiting their effectiveness.

The problem is that 3 classes have consistent gap closers now, whereas the other 5 have none.

You say it brings consistency, I say it brings imbalance between leaps/rushes and teleports. They essentially allow thieves and mesmers to escape any situation where they made too many errors without even having to stealth up… And then they could still stealth if they wanted to.

I only state my opinion unless stated otherwise.

I also noticed Rampage is also slow now for activation of skills.

I also found Savage Leap to be the only one that seemed to be normal. I’m guessing they slowed down runs but left leaps alone.

After playing quite a bit last night in WvW, greatsword feels ruined. The damage is there, yeah. But one thing warrior relied on in the past was speed to get away from burst. Much like taking stealth away from mesmers/thieves, taking this away from warriors is a significant reduction in survivability. Any group fight with more than 5 opponents (or 2+ as solo) felt like a loss because of the massive pressure without any disengage.

Fix this please. Tune up the speed/distance on GS 3 and 5 to match 25% run speed pre-patch.

ppl said this change was gonna be a buff , but for warrior its definitely a nerf. Rush feels slowmo and had a hard enough time hitting moving targets. I guess ppl didnt notice before that just a simple warriors sprint trait were helping these skills.

right now everything feels off like the game isnt flowing between gears properly. I dont know y these movement changes were needed.

Yea, warrior feels a bit slower, but I live near cripple immunity with our movement skills. Plus the new warriors sprint is a god send. So overall, I move at about the same AVERAGE speed, just without those good speed bursts.
But screw it, I do so much freaking damage… I have about 150 less toughness ( ) because of the lack of trait influence, but if I land one hit against anything other than a guard or warrior, it puts them on defense…2 hitting isn’t uncommon.
