it all started when my friend talked to me about his warrior build which consist of soldier gear and stuffs with knight weapons and cleric twinklets. so i read through the forum on warriors which makes me feel like that after a year of playing warrior i might not be doing it right.

it seems to me that p/v/t or cleric gear for warrior is popular/common stuff that people use on a warrior these days

i find my self using suit of knight/Zerk most of the time with Zerk twinks and accessories and not any where near p/v/t or cleric, i can see them being useful in wvw but knight feels just fine for me =/. occationaly i go rabid with undead runes for poping up aoe in wvw while being slightly tanky and proc bleed with the precision

i’m i seriously not playing right for a year?

80% pve/10%wvw?10%pvp(hotjoin)

PVT would be something you use when playing with a zerg in WvW.

I don’t think Cleric’s gear has much use, as power as a minor stat results in very low damage. If you want healing power, there’s always Apothecary.

And honestly, Berserker is the top stat in PvE, assuming that you can stay alive. Personally? Running 50% Berserker, 50% Knight.

…pve you can go full zerk if you are good at dodging with stamina signet..atleast for me.
pvp you can basically run what ever you like, zerker? die fast and kill fast. pth with damage trait> bunkerish with decent damage. or pth with full defense trait > off support tank (which means home tank, not as good as guardian tank)

yeah that is what i been wondering, but people r telling me how awesome their tank build and my friend currently runs 0 0 20 20 30 in dungeons on a warrior has me wondering if that is how its suppose to go, also so many threads about “defensive” warrior has not been helping my identity crisis

It’s all about choice. If you’re having fun, tank or DPS doesn’t matter. There is no one way to play a warrior.

Unless you’re some sort of superhuman who wants to skip dinner, Zerker is the way to play.

Their “awesome” tanky builds allow them to be lazy and not dodge, but make each boss take about 10 minutes longer.

no class goes defensive in pve if you want to play optimally. 30/25/0/0/15 is the most optimal warrior build out there, and as others have said full berserker is the best choice by a long shot.

tank builds are not awesome in pve; they are utter garbage.

Zerker only in pve, BHB using clerics and such can gtfo

PvE – zerk only, PvP/WvW – zerk with a few knight/pvt pieces. Cleric/full pvt/knight is useless. Your friend’s “tank” build is bad and he should feel bad.

Did nobody else catch this? Because it’s god kitten ed adorable and I’m going to start using it.

I run almost full Zerk gear, with Cavalier amulet and backpiece.
Overall it’s the same as full zerk just with 7% more damage mitigation.
