Is warrior really that easy?
I knew that warrior was something different while leveling in PvE when I noticed that with other classes I constantly used dodge rolls to avoid being killed while with my warrior, I use it more on OFFENSE than defense, to get closer to mobs to kill them faster!
Might be different in PvP but in PvE, wow, warriors are insane.

on high end dungeons, you would rather have insane amount of dodges instead of taking them hits. that’s why i play thief.
as of last sentence, if you can’t do that on trash mobs on any melee oriented classes, you should probably reconsider your thinking.

Hi
I just started this game and I am playing a warrior. Whenever I see people in the mists pvp they spam me when i beat them saying im playing an easy class.
Why do they act this way? Is something wrong with the warrior?
Well, let’s put it this way. The vast majority of the thief community has moved over to other classes, and some of the big names have moved to warrior specifically. Furthermore, because apparently Shadow Return on sword was too powerful for “stun breaking” (which only happens in very limited circumstances), it’s getting nerfed as well by ANet, so that now I have no way to counter stuns once I pull out all three of my stunbreaks (which happens fairly often), which are my utilities.
Given ANet’s amazing insight into the game, yeah, I’d say that Warrior is a pretty easy class. On the other hand, professions like thieves and elementalists…
Sure, warrior do have good damage and good survival allready from the start. However, after a year of playing it I still don’t feel like I use it to it’s full potential.
You must be a clicker if you have trouble seeing highly telegraphed hammer attacks since you’re spending most of your time looking at the skill bar instead of the opponent.
Sheesh.

Out of all the classes i found warrior the easiest to play and do well at.
The thing is you have so much room for error. The high hps, armour and health regen mean if you miss a dodge roll or fail to land a style, doesn’t matter too much.
Other classes….miss that dodge and it’s game over.
When I fight other classes, i find that maybe 5 percent of elementalists are amazing, the rest are fodder, same with rangers, engineers, necros, thieves and guardians to an extent.
Mesmers are pretty strong on all levels, but when you get someone good on them they’re ridiculous.
Every warrior seems to be of similar skill level, which I believe is because they have a very low skill cap.

I think you have it. It leaves room for messing up a bit, example if I miss my Evescirate I can hold out for 7 seconds until I can do it again, due to high healthpool and good mobility. You get used to it I guess. However, if you do like I have – level other classes to get to know their mechanics and builds and learn to cancel and time your attacks the warrior holds a potential of being extremely hard to beat. Always gonna have trouble with Mesmers and Engis though

So what would explain why one warrior can consistently beat another warrior with both having equal gear and spec (all other factors equal)?

i’m playing hambow and spirit ranger in pvp to annoy people. these are both strong builds but require skill to run it efficiently.

Similar does not mean the same.
hi,i am new as well in gw2, rank 38 now. since rank 1 till 34 I was play only warrior, first I was axe-shield/greatswords power build, for crazy crits with axe adrenalin skill. next build was condition, dual swords + longbow ( nice build, funn to play, req more skills then power build). then I try greatsword + mace shield build. last build so powerfull and so boring. f1 mace skill ( stun enemy for 3 sec) change weapon click button 2. and enjoy 10k+- dmg done, and adrenaline already full again,so can change weapons and in few sec can use f1 mace skill again. so what I want to tell, warrior really easy to play, probably harden then Mesmer ( summon many exactly same copys, and run around or going in hide, while they hit you like a truck) now I was try to play power ranger, and 50/50 elementalist, not full dps not full defence. they definatly harder to play. but I back to warrior again. I made rifle/greatsword build ( because build with rifle will be at least some funn and chalenge, not boring easy mode gameplay) 10 December update not destroy my rifle build at all . ( you can find it in builds posts by Vitalij.7193
P.S sorry for my bad english
There’s a reason the warrior is getting nerfed on december 10th.
Mostly because complaining about something on a forum is much easier than actually learning the game mechanics and how to counter whatever you are facing.
2-3k earthshakers that your average ham warrior puts out in WvW is pretty ignorable by itself. For anyone specced to hit harder, then it’s a simple matter of countering it with the knowledge that they specced for dmg (primarily reliant on an earthshaker-->backbreaker —> staggering blow --> follow up attacks routine) at the expense of some survivability. If you’re repeatedly getting hit by the most common intiatior, earthshaker, one of the most telegraphed and delayed abilities in the game, it’s time to bind your dodge key to your keyboard or press your blink/blind/evade/invuln/stab/block ability (pick one) and recognize you need to press it when the war stops, brings the hammer behind his head, and awkwardly leaps forward. Unlike many other instant-cast ranged abilities in the game, ES can actually be countered before you’re even hit by it through proper animation recognition and timely skill response. Now it’s on a min 7s CD and they’re stuck with melee weapon in hand vulnerable to kited ranged damage.
The most frustrating thing about this is the nerf is that it is catering to a lower-skillset playerbase that refused to learn the proper counter the the ability, the result of which will open up a gap between war and other classes at higher-level play.

someone has been roaming in the thief forums too much we have to deal with nerfs because of “lower-skillset playerbase that refused to learn the proper counter the the ability” welcome to the club and this is a soft nerf for ur class lol
