Greatsword just needs a decent burst ability imo. I think the rest of the weapon is fine.

I don’t think when he says “scenarios” he is drawing a line between PvP and PvE. I think he means to say individual encounters. In PvE, it’s easy to walk into any fight and win, but in PvP, some sets put you at an inherent disadvantage in certain situations. I think what he’s saying is that it isn’t their goal to give everyone an equal shot at winning… it’s their goal to give everyone an equal shot at succeeding in whatever area they choose and leaving it up to the player to force those situations.

Already got one.. Eviscerate. You are practically asking for all warriors burst skills to be Eviscerate..

“Greatsword — Sweeping, brutal attacks which carry the greatsword’s momentum from foe to foe. "

I also think that damage should be moved to arcing slide. Current state is:

Main source of damage comes from hb. While mobs are stupid to stand in one place and eating the whole hb its fine, howered in pvp a cc is a must to land it, and i don’t think its well designed. Gs in current state is a pve weapon/wvw bc of mobility

That’s probably the whole point of the skill in pvp; it’s a combo skill imo. Before they put leg specialist on a 5 sec cooldown you could GS #4 —> HB and in the time it took the immobilize to wear off from the initial throw the sword you tossed would already be coming back and re-immobilize them. There’s lots of ways to get most / all of the channel time to hit an enemy, it just takes some finese / timing. That’s how I’ve always viewed it anyway.

I honestly don’t think JSharp was referring to ‘tools’ and ‘situations’ meaning the difference between PvP, PvE, and WvW (and if he was, and I’m mistaken, I think its particularly near-sighted of him). There are times when you’re fighting a particular monster, build, group, etc where certain skills can turn things in your favor more than any other. Those situations transcend the various gameplay modes. Certainly there are scenarios that will happen more often than not in particular modes, but aside from the WvW game-breakingly large zergs, there are no scenarios you can only find in one mode of play.

That being said, the Warrior could have probably shown his true colors in being given multiple skill sets for the same weapon. In short, being the true master of weapons and using them just as effectively in multiple scenarios as any other class would in just one.

Coulda’ woulda’ shoulda’ I guess.

(Implying that the sword aren’t dodged because of his obvious and slowly animation or missed when you launched it by the side of your running foe because the movement of your foe isn’t took into account in the sword direction’s launch.)

What did you do when this sword don’t come back to you because she disappears on an non flat ground?

Sorry for my average English.
