MH Mace/OH Axe PVP Burst Build
Unsuspecting Foe… and yet you have 48% crit chance without it. Talk about fail. Signet of Fury is only going to cover you 2/3 of the time. Assuming no one is there to remove it from you.
Also, I don’t think it’s going to work too well. Firstly because the channeling of the skill is longer than the 3s stun you get. Secondly because Whirling Axe is on a 20s cooldown, thus making your Burst Mastery rather wasted. Thirdly, you’ll get your kitten handed to you if a team mate appears to stun the crap out of your whirl.
And really, Physical Training only for Bull’s Charge?

Oh, wow. Gee, thanks for your input you kind gentleman.
does your signet of fury cover you 100% of the time or something? sweet dude good for you. signet of fury is used before you engage anyone. its always going to have the problem of running out, all you can do is use it right before you engage and pray. this includes every warrior ever unless you have some godly boon duration.
the channeling of whirling axe is 3 1/2 seconds, so is hundred blades. Do you know what people who use hundred blades do to counter that? they use frenzy.
and phisical training is used as only a filler for lack of real traits in that particular warrior line. people who use GS are forced to take a crap trait too.
simply put my combo is mace stun- whirling axe- frenzy
edit- mace stun frenzy theeeen whirling axe… teehee
and burst mastery doesnt even effect whirling axe. so your point isn’t valid. burst mastery is for having full adrenaline more often, and it sets you up for when you switch to rifle to use that burst afterward if you need to.

You’re only stunning one person and you intend to pop Frenzy? Ouch.

My point was that Burst Mastery isn’t that good if you’ve got a skill that is on a 20s cooldown.
And that is the big difference between Whirling Axe and 100 Blades. The latter is on a 8s cooldown, whereas the former is 20s. There’s a big difference.

You do realize that unsuspecting foe stacks with your crit chance, right? My build has unsuspecting foe and ~40% crit, nothing wrong with having 90% crit on a stunned target imo. I am also not as squishy as you might think with around ~1500 toughness. Of course, I can drop my power a bit and use Melandru instead of Hoelbrak or even pop a different Amulet in if I want to.
Not that I am defending his build, just stating the obvious.
I only need to hit one person with the stun, I never said I was intending to hit 5 people with whirling axe. Whirling axe does almost as much damage as hundred blades in pvp. They buffed it. This is burst that I only intend on hitting 1 person with.
As for it’s 20 second cooldown, go ahead and use axe mastery if you think it’s better. It probably is. The only reason I picked burst mastery is because it will let me keep adrenaline after I use the mace stun. Either way you are going to have to wait for frenzy to cooldown before you can effectively use whirling axe again anyway, and in this way it is similar to hundred blades.
Humor me and try this build. Please. It’s easy to look at it and have a million questions about each and every thing in it. I don’t appreciate it. I spent the time to post it didn’t I? Then when you are finished I would be happy to get laughed at.
I honestly dont think and of your criticisms are constructive.
I have tinkered around with things like this. IDK if your willing to do it, but if you want to make your burst even nastier, consider running the Axe/Axe as your second weapon set, when you pop frenzy, you should be able to get a full Whirling Axe+Evis off.
Zero condition removal.
Zero stability.
Bc without frenzy is easily dodged, stun is easily broken. And that is even assuming your opponent has no stability.
And have you tried axe5 when they have retal up?
Seriously with so many hardcounters to this build how do you expect this to work against even remotely capable people?
There are a couple things that bother me:
1) You got no stability, which basically turns you into a ragdoll if the opponent can use it to it’s advantage.
2) I don’t really like a build that is based around one combo only, as someone said – if the stun break fails, a person can dodge away from it, and then what do you have afterwards?
3) One of the great things about whirling axe is the fact that you can still move, but without swiftness or warrior’s sprint for 25%+ more speed, you’ll have harder time following people with it.
4) You probably don’t know this, but they forgot to type in “Berserker’s power” boost accordingly after the patch when they moved it in locations, just saying
5) non-stability aside, you’ll probably be kitted a lot thanks to cripple, immobilizes, and chill.
By the way, about runes of scholar, wouldn’t it be a better idea to switch two runes of the scholar with two runes of divinity? you’ll lose 70 power and the 10% more damage with 90%+ more health, but you’ll have 4% more critical damage, and about the latter… well, really doesn’t help that much as you’ll might think, people won’t die that easily for it to be useful enough after the first 4 seconds.

There are no good condition removal utility’s, the majority of a warriors condition removal is in traits. :/ you could definately switch bulls charge for one if you wanted to. Like I said if they are able to kite you (with chill or whatever) use rifle, it’s almost just as good.
If they have use a stun breaker while you have them stunned then you might still be able to keep up with them in while you channel whirlwind, especially if you use a dodge roll to keep up with their running speed while your channel finishes.
Retaliation is about 200-300 damage isn’t it? That x15 is like 3-4k out of my 18k health pool.
Every pvp warrior build has these same counters.
Actually, with your current power, each retaliation tick would be 456.075, according to the way the damage calculation of it works in the wiki.
I really appreciate this kind of input guys. It’s really making me think about my build! Retaliation might just be something I cant ignore then. Hahaha i’ll have to fight a few more guardians and see! I can imagine its really easy for someone to spec to be able to counter my build, but whether they do Idk. Hopefully they don’t XD
