Good morning.

I am level 72, in Orr and I am having some difficulty. Up until this point Ive been running an axe/axe greatsword build that focuses on equipping sigils but not using them for increased precision, and keeping adrenaline at max for hp regen.

When leveling my necro, I saw a warrior running axe/axe, solo a champion and her hp never waivered much. I assumed she was running the same build as I have been.

Anyways, at 70 I respeccted to add more surv. I am now getting my kitten handed to me and it takes a while to kill stuff. When I leveled my thief through Orr, I could take on a vet and a few regular mobs no problem. Now I am going down steadily.

Anyone have any decent builds for Orr, that utilize axe/axe and greatsword?

Edit, I am running 20/20/20/0/0 and putting any new points into arms.

Strength: 2 and 5
Arms: 1 and 10
Defense: 2 and 1

Turtle’s Defense with Restorative Strength? That’s pretty dumb, to be honest. Especially if you happen to be using Mending.

Of your 6 traits, 2 are wasted on being mutually exclusive, 3 are damage-oriented and 1 is a mediocre passive. And you still wonder why you’re getting whacked around like a ragdoll?

Firstly, Turtle’s Defense is kinda dumb, so I would get rid of that. Use Restorative Strength with Mending and you’re good for pretty much everything.

Secondly, ditch Deep Strikes. Even with full signets, you’re gaining just 200 Precision, which is like 9% crit. In comparison, you could be using For Great Justice and Signet of Rage for a 77% uptime on Fury, which would bring you an average of +15% crit rate and allow you to use Mending and two utilities that are actually useful. Not to mention that constantly using Signet of Rage and For Great Justice is going to bring you a crapton of damage from the Might stacks.

Now, you have 2 Traits free. Get Rending Strikes for the extra vulnerabilities. If you want even more damage, swap out to 20/20/10/0/10 and get Heightened Focus. For defense, your best option would probably get 30/20/10/0/0 and grabbing Great Fortitude.

Other than that, you might wanna work on fixing your utilities. Mending, Signet of Rage, For Great Justice for starters.

Just a note: The passive regen is just 360 hp every 3 seconds, that’s not going to keep you alive if you only have melee range options.

The problem you run into in Orr is all the mobs CC immobilize, put conditions on you and knock you down. I don’t like off hand axe at all except for tagging mobs in parties.

I like mobile strikes for breaking out of immobilize because you can get away fast if you need to run away, or If your attacking something you can use it to close the gap and do damage.

put 30 in tactics and use traits 6, 8 or 9, and 12 for shout healing, equip all 3 shouts. Put the rest of your points in arms and strength. Run GS, axe/horn.

For Orr huh?

Open the skills screen, put on a blindfold, then select a few skills.
Do the same for traits.
Pick up some random weapons.
Good to go.
