Mace in general needs to be examined. Ages ago mace and hammer both under went “separating the damage from the control.” Hammer fared better than mace in the changes. Currently the game speed in PvP is fairly fast. In PvE world bosses and such are getting larger and larger HP pools. Mace has fallen behind on both fronts. Its damage is below mediocre and its attack speed is lethargic.
it is true that pommel bash is currently quite useless. (actually only reason i use mace now is to block one more attack)
currently, mace has following general problems why people avoid of:
1. I found that stun duration doesn’t stack actually. (it’s description says it stacks though)
2. When daze is applied on stunned enemy, stun effect disappears.
3. elite skill skullcrack need to be leap skill, since just normal skill shield bash can leap and stun 2 sec which is 2nd level of skullcrack’s duration. And all the melee weapons only except mace, they have all leap skill.
4. Pommel bash, just need 200% more damage with 2sec of daze since it has 15sec cd. of course, Stun > Daze, thus, 200% dmg boost with 2sec daze makes more sense since shield bash does 300% dmg more than pommel bash plus 2sec stun, which is stronger effect than daze.
5. Pulverize only appies 5 sec weakness as compared to Hammer’s 2nd skill (i remember it was like 8sec?). Honestly, applying pulverize is harder than applying hammer’s 2nd skill since it’s need 2 more normal attack plus longer casting time than hammer’s 2nd skill.
6.counterblow so slow.
Many people would love mace as much as GreatAxe’s axe if all are implemented, i guess.

All i want is:
a faster counterblow!! + it would be nice that counterblow only activates when your IN melee range.. (skills that are not projectile but are ranged stop the blocking part..)and they should remove the aftercast on AA chain.
Thats pretty much all i want on this weapon.
