Since I have quite the love for range and condition damage, as well as movement and attack speed, I think I may have made a build suited too my tastes. While conditions don’t last that long, this particular build totes a 95% crit chance with 199% crit damage. Sigils used cause Quickness to proc 50% of the crits.

While this is still mostly theory, as I have yet to test it. On paper, it looks great. With traits giving Immobilizing effects Fury, increasing the crit chance even more than necessary.

A thing to note, fury is a highlight for this build, but not completely necessary. Where this shines is in Melee with full adrenaline, and shouts to boost adrenaline quickly due to traits. This allows more liberal use of the Sword Burst skill Flurry for the Fury and Bleed damage.

All in all, I hope to have a lot of fun with this build in PvE or PvP. I purposely left out infusions because those could be used to boost Power, Condition damage, or Precision, depending on flavor.

NOTICE: I’m completely open for suggestions.

What This Build Will Do For You: give you a competitive DPS edge, physical mitigation, condition mitigation, and good mobility by Warrior standards.

Open Letter.
After playing a Warrior since beta, I’d hope that my knowledge has gotten me somewhere. I don’t often check on updates, nor am I a math wizard. However, I’d like to count myself as someone who has a natural intuition. I’ve never been much for meta (a comment which might turn all of you off instantly), but I have found great success in every area of PvE with little to no gruff from other players. I started off using the Unstoppable Berserker build introduced back in 2012, but with the damage nerfs, it’s little more than a weak solo build now. This here is a variation of that build which emphasizes on axe-play, heavy weapon swapping, and a fair amount of survivability. Let’s get down to the grit of things, and make this short and simple.

GEAR.
Everything, including accessories and weapons, should be Knights. Don’t ask questions, just trust me on this. You’ll get a ton of physical mitigation, which might sound cringe-worthy, but it goes hand in hand with the rest of the build. Think of your gear as completely secondary, rather than the meat and potatos of the build. Because it really is secondary. Unless you’re not wearing exotic Knights…then you’re doing it wrong.

RUNES.
Strength on all of your gear.

SIGILS.
Strength on Axes. Strength and Force on GS, LB, Ham.

UTILITIES.
HS, FGJ, SoS, BoDis, BS.

HS: You’ll be generating so much Adren, you’d be dumb not to use this.
FGJ: Who doesn’t use this?
SoS: Mobility and condition removal.
BoDis: Increased crit for you and your team.
BS: Because if you don’t use this, you’ll get kicked from FotM 40.

You can swap BoDis with EP, or any other banner, depending on the encounter or team makeup. I’d highly suggest not straying too far from that.

“The Build”http://gw2skills.net/editor/?fJAQNAnXRj8cU5ZhH2eQHagggyYBEAnPhLY6V2FbBA-TJRBABU8GAAvMAP7PAwhAAA

ROTATION.
(keeping default controls in mind)
FGJ.
BoDis.
GS: 2, 3 (for might generation and some damage)
Swap.
Axes: 2, 4, 5.
Swap.
GS: F1, 2, 3.
Swap.
Axes: 2, 4, 5.
Swap.
GS: F1, 2, 3.
And so on…

You will be doing it faster than you think. It looks simple now, but it’s really a big pain in the…ehem…You can also use your LB and Hammer for certain encounters. You’ll rarely need your Hammer, but the LB can come in handy. So definitely keep that in your last bag slot.

CONCLUSION.
This is really not a complex build by far, but it may take some time getting used to based on your experience. Remember to dodge as much as you can, swap when you don’t have an optimal skill open, and Whirlwind everything you see.

You’ll find that you’ll be getting a lot of aggro with this build, but if used properly, you’ll take little to no damage simply by dodging and using your heal at 3 bars of adren. You’ll also never be immobilized (for the most part), and put out enough DPS to get by. Because let’s face it: Warrior DPS is on the threshhold of “just getting by”.

I hope you enjoyed, and please leave your comments!

Hello! I’m new to GW2, and just finished up my first level 80 warrior. While learning more about the game, I finally came across the trait system, and wanted to run something by you guys.

I love the dps that comes out of the axe/mace combo, but wasn’t too fond of the GS. I wanted to pair up the axe/mace with a ranged weapon and I prefer the damage from the rifle over the bow.

Would this build work? What do you guys think?

http://gw2skills.net/editor/?fJUQNAnZUjMd03ZnHWewJaggAxchAJOdSd5thB-TBSBABZpE7MlgUqexV7PKPqUFF803AwbKIvDBAA-e

For my skills, I’m using:
1. Healing Signet
2. Signet of Fury
3. Shake it Off (can be replaced with banner, if running group, or use Signet of Might, or others, depending on situation).
4. For Great Justice
5. Signet of Rage

For the traits:
Strength:
1. Dual Wielding (for damage increase +5%)
2. Axe Mastery (improves crit damage +150 Ferocity)
3. Berserker’s Power (increase damage +15%)

Arms:
1. Rending Strikes (to increase stacks of vulnerability) or, I could switch this out for Crack Shot (for pierce on rifle)

Discipline
1. Warriors Sprint (I can switch this out later for something else)
2. Sharpened Axes (faster adrenaline build up & skills come off CD faster)
3. Burst Mastery (more damage on Eviscerate +7% & regain adrenaline)

The idea is to kill things, before they kill me.

- Basically, with FGJ always up, and just a few pieces of Berserker’s gear, i’ll have a 50%+ chance of criting, build up my Eviscerate & dump to pump out damage.

- If thing’s get too heated, I can dodge out, and kite use the rifle to slow foes down. The rifle would pump out some more damage and build up my adrenaline, so I can go back in and finish the job.

- I thought of this build because the knockdown on the mace is nice to interrupt things, and the vulnerability stacks help a lot, while I can kite with rifle and pump out damage.

- This build is for general PVE roaming (going after my World Completion) and doing all the heart quests along with killing champions and doing events/champions to get as many traits unlocked as possible without using my SP’s & stacking up on Karma.

What do you guys think? Trash build? Not viable? Stick with the GS?

Build name: Shoutcracker (lol)

I really like the shouts, but not the bow (It’s superior for conquest, I just find warrior LB to be boring), and I really like skullcracker but not its survivability, so I decided to mix the two!

http://gw2skills.net/editor/?fJAQNAR5enMdQlH25BmCCpIGoKoQeABgye4GSfCddKA-TpRBABDcEAM+BAQ1+DacQAIrMAAXAAA

I actually tested this guy in pvp for quite a while, and I found….
-Lower damage than skullcracker
-AMAZING survivability, especially with mace/shield’s blocks combined with the shouts.
-In 1v2 type scenarios, I play it evasively and defensive. I maintain full adrenaline for Adrenal health. This coupled with blocks and shouts makes the sustain very high.
-Has fair 1v1 play, and is pretty good at bunkering. In most 1v1 and 1v2 situations.
-Rather weak against bursts of conditions. In particular condi necros, engis, and melee condi rangers were problematic.
-Pretty much HAVE to use shield 4 to hit mace f1. Against necros, guards, and engis, this doesn’t seem to be as much of a problem. The more mobile classes will outpace me if I just walk up and try to use f1 on mace though.
-When I DO hit mace f1, and my opponents are out of stunbreaks, they’ll tend to either retreat, or use up their heals immediately afterwards. Hitting mace f1 becomes amazingly useful in 2v2 situations when I’m focusing on some1!

Discussion:

First, I’d like to mention that I ran this build without cleansing ire originally. I took 1 trait point out of defence, and put it into Discipline for the might on weapon swap. Honestly, I was able to deal pretty well without cleansing ire. I know shoutbow is much better for conquest due to might stacking, and f1 + cleansing ire, but I’m running this build more for fun than for dominating! The lack of might stacking is probably a weak point of this build. I found that I was able to easily wear down just about every class I faced in a 1v1, or 2v2, with the exception of cele engis (too much kitten regen), and one necromancer (sorry, not familiar with necro builds. I think she was a condi/sustain build, her damage output wasn’t amazing).

Why Rampage: Mostly for the luls. I usually take banner instead for deathmatches, or when I’m running with friends that I can trust. I take rampage for solo queue though.

Why Not Signet of Rage: I just feel like 25 seconds of having a couple boons isn’t really worth it. Especially since I get my fury fix from “For Great Justice,” and GS f1. Signet of Rage helps in 1v1 and 2v2 type situations, but when you got 3-4 people on mid, Rampage’s skills really shine (at least from my experiences)! Of course, you do get screwed over by mesmer’s who run moa lol. Rampage has a lower cd than moa, and just the #5 skill, and #1 aa chain on rampage totally made it fun for me lol!

All feedback/harsh criticism/Dude you’re an idiot is welcome

I’d really like to hear what this build is especially weak against, and any minor fixes I could do to bolster the build in those scenarios.

Hey people,

I’ve been playing Warrior for a long time now and I’ve tried many things, but I was wondering if you could give some advice on my current build? I used to play HAMBOW, but I was looking for more DPS and found a juggernaut build on the meta. I want to be able to have a nice dps and still have control. These are my specs as they are now:

20/20/30/0/0
Ascended soldier armor + Dolyak
Exotic GS/Hammer + Force/Accuracy
Ascended trinkets with infusion

http://gw2skills.net/editor/?fJMQJARSj8cU5ZnH2dwJagfgC9tvDtgxAYAOuCbAA-TxBBABYp8Dgnkglq/Uz+DporJgLZwZKBDAgAwNv5Qv5QvZA-e

I’m still using Dolyak, but I might wanna change to a different runeset and different skills, but I can’t figure out what to do with it precisely.

Runes of Strenght(like in the editor), scholar, hoelbrak and brawler all seem nice options.

If you have any pointers or anything on my build(if it’s good, I’d like to know too of course:p) please reply or pm me ingame (Gunnar Beastslayer).

This is absolutely the opposite of meta and just for jollies/seeing the world. Axe/wh and axe/mace with a few traits for dual/axe wielding.

http://gw2skills.net/editor/?fJAQRBHhdO1ITHVe23htHciGIIoMXABQCc+DigpXVZA-e

I don’t have anything against the GS, per se, but this should keep me moving.

Hahah, y’know, it’s easier to put this system into text than that. Each selectable trait is limited to three so 1,2,3 notation is just as logical

Strength 221
Tactics 333
Arms 222

See? A friend actually tipped me off to that.

I was testing this WvW zerg build in the previous days, and I think the results are amazing , and worth sharing with U guys

http://intothemists.com/calc/?build=-kittenkP0e4kLVQ0;9;4efh;0036136156;4Lwl0UR;06TsW6TsWo-Fb3-sG-NJ0-TbT6UbU6VbV60sVG-2i;57X7X7X7X;9;9;9;9;84-6K

Pros:
You have insane survivability and pretty decent damage,

  • 10s condi immun
  • 10s stab (two times with trait)
  • 6,25s physical immun (two times with trait)
  • this is 4 stun break
  • etc…

Cons:

  • pretty selfish, no team support (only BS)
  • you’ll run out of inventory slots..

Cheers!

Nothing’s been posted here for a month. Let’s change that.

Lock Down Pressure Build

Basic Runthrough:
Ok, so there’s the build. There are a few things to take note. The point of this build is NOT heavy burst damage, but interrupts plus CC to force decaps and more wide spread damage focus either in team fights or locking down individual targets. Staggering Blow, Backbreaker, and Earthshaker on the hammer and Pommel Bash, Shield Bash, and Skull Crack are all interrupts with the burst skills on CD of just under 7 seconds each. With the Adrenaline regen available with this build you will almost always have full when it comes off CD. Cleansing Ire (trait VIII in defense) allows for condi removal every time you activate a burst skill and Brawler’s Recovery removes a condi on weapon swap so you’ll have constant condi removal similar to a shoutbow build. I don’t suggest replacing Signet of Rage with Rampage since the damage from Rampage isn’t near what a GS/H build is and the extra Adrenalin regen is important for this build. Skills 7, 8, and 9 are interchangable to fit the enemy team’s comp, the ones in the build like are suggestions since they are what I tend to gravitate towards.

Pros: Constant Interrupts, Good Damage Pressure, Constant Condi Removal, Good CC, able to force decaps.

Cons: High Mobility Builds such as Thief and Mesmer, Heavy Condi Builds, limited healing potential (The goal is to interrupt and block damage not heal it)

How to Play It:
It’s simple. Switch weapons often, use the burst as soon as they’re up (prioritizing Earthshaker for gap closing and Skullbash to set up for spike damage), and keep your opponent pinned as much as possible. Other than that change your 7, 8, and 9 skills to accommodate the issues you come up against.

Just keep up Fire shield and hit your Eviscerate.

For everyone that doesn’t know what Fire Shield does:
Fire Shield (5s): Enveloped in a fiery shield that burns foes, grants might each time you are struck (1-second cooldown per attacker).[Cause of double activation you’ll get 10s]
Might (10s): +30 Power, +30 Condition Damage
Burning (1s): 131 damage
Condition Duration Reduction: 20%

(Traits may vary)

Axe/Shield – combo sigils hydro and leeching
Greatsword – poison on attack, increased condi duration gives 9-10 seconds of poison(2/heal) plus Bladetrail is now a 6s cripple AND 2s immobilize. Weapon swapping to axe/shield with Throw Axe also immobilizes.

After running this is wvw a bit, seems sturdy. The immobilize setup seems to work great for catching fleeing players, poison stack also cuts down survival odds.

Critique?

Armour – Full Zerker, Hoelbrak Runes
Greatsword – Zerker, Sigils are cleansing, and leeching
Axe – Zerker, with Intelligence sigil
Shield – Zerker with Hydromancy Sigil

Food – Mango pie, and Furious Sharpening stone

Strength – 3/2/1
Defense – 1/1/2
Discipline – 2/3/3

Signet of healing/Dolyak Signet/ Bull’s charge/ Endure Pain/ Signet of rage

Variants!

If you don’t have furious sharpening stones, use superior sharpening stones instead, and change either the earring, leggings, or coat to a Knight’s piece.

for traits you could run:
strength – 3/2/1 (no change)
Defense – 1/2/1 (if using this, change the dolyak signet to balance stance, and use the coat as the only knight’s piece)
Discipline – 2/3/2

I do chose to run Hoelbrak runes over Strength runes because of the -% to condi duration, as well as keeping that extra power and might duration.

This is my first Build post, and when I get a better GPU I’ll post my teef’s build and video gameplay.

If you decide to hammer/greatsword, than just use TapDatMouse’s warrior 4.0 build, its awesome just him, check his channel out, I’ll post the build down below

Way of the Confused Warrior
Introdution
With the release of HoT, we finally get to see something new aside from going zerk or tank in the past years. Introducing CONDITIONS. Playing pvp and wvw I hear people saying Warriors received the short end of the stick saying that the new specialization has no synergy with the other traits, but I disagree.
This build focuses on a surprise attack. The moment they or you close the distance get ready to kitten on their face…most of em. The bleed, burn and confusion stacks is not something you want to be on the receiving end. Your offence comes from stacking conditions through interrupts and rage skills from berserker trait while healing you with a base of 2000 health every time you break stun which could possibly be every 10 seconds as well as negating damage to reposition or run away while you set up.
Weapon Set
The primary weapon set you will be using is the mace and shield combo followed with a rifle as your secondary choice. The reason for mace and shield is because this is going to be your bread and butter mainly the berserker F1 skill Skull Grinder as it gives enemies blind, bleed, confusion and cripple condition. Also, the reason for this combination is due to the fact of interrupts coming from the following skills: Pommel Smash, Shield Bash and Skull Grinder. This allows you to stack more conditions while locking them down. As for the secondary weapon set you will be using the rifle. This weapon serves to poke and force enemies to close the distance with you as you follow up with the combo, which will be mentioned later in the guide.
Sigils
The following sigils deemed to be excellent choices best suited for engagements, which are: Superior Sigil of Bursting (Mace), Superior Sigil of Doom (Shield), Superior Sigil of Ice (Rifle) and Superior Sigil of Energy (Rifle)
Weapon, Armor and Trinket Stats
The armor set you will be wearing is full Vipers (Power, Condition, Precision and Condition Duration) with a combination of Dire+Rabid (Condition, Vitality, Toughness and Precision) for your trinkets.
Runes
There is only one rune that will maximize your main condition damage (confusion) and that is Superior Rune of Perplexity. Which increases condition damage but mostly confusion duration. It goes well with confusion from your interrupts
Trait Line
The traits you will be utilizing will be Strength, Defence and Berserker. For Strength you will be using the following: Restorative Strength, Body Blow and Distracting Strikes. This is where your damage comes from where you give enemies 4 stacks of confusion per interrupt on top of bleeding.
For Defence you will be using the following: Shield Master, Defy Pain and Rousing Resilience. With the reduce cooldown in your shield skills you can have block more often and well as shield bash. In addition, any projectiles incoming will be reflected back, deadly for rangers. With Defy Pain its self explanatory. Now for the grandmaster trait people say to use Last Stand cause of the 40 second cooldown gaining stability and increase duration for your stances. As of this moment its preference, it was okay when I used it with the build; however, I was more drawn to the 2k heal and 1k armor every time I break stun. In all my fights, I was able to get out of combos periodically due to outrage and headbutt keeping me longer in the fight on top of my block and endure pain. Again its your choice what you feel most comfortable with I just happen to add a bit more sustain aside from my healing signet passive.
Lastly, for Berserker you will be using the following: Last Blaze, Dead or Alive and Taunt. Last blaze will add burn condition every time you use your rage skills, which are outrage and headbutt. I use it to add cover for my confusion stacks, while dealing damage so in case they remove conditions confusion will most likely be the last sitting on their health bar. Dead or Alive gives you a fixed heal when dealt a fatal blow, this might not work sometimes as defy pain will kick in while your in berserk mode and by the time it ends so does your berserk mode. I still choose it because the other two do not work as well with the build. Finally, the amazing TAUNT, I still miss the bleed it had before they changed it, but no matter 2 seconds of enemies attacking you is what connects your combination from start to end.
Food and Utility
I highly recommend using food that increase condition duration and tuning crystals.
The Confused Warrior
Begin with the rifle poking them down. To them it may not seem much initially, but majority of time people want to get up close. As they approach you use your number 4 skill in your rifle to stack vulnerability, which will act as a filler condition to cover your main condition damage as well as increase incoming damage you put on them. While they come at you run away or dodge so you can avoid their first attack. While they begin chasing look at their bar if no block or stability, switch weapon set to mace and shield and follow through with this standard combo:
Headbutt, Outrage, Taunt, Skull Grinder, Shield Bash and Pommel Smash
Hitting the target you gain full adrenaline stunning yourself for 1 second and stunning the enemy for 3 seconds. By using Outrage, you break out of stun healing yourself and gaining armor as well as quickening your combo to follow with taunt as their still stun or may break out of stun. With Taunt it forces enemies to attack you so in case they run away they come back or if its a thief hiding in shadow refugee or stealth they will reappear due to them landing a basic attack on you. Within that 2 second interval you follow through with Skull Grinder stacking additional confusion and conditions to enemy, at this point the enemy will be at 13 confusion stacks and their health will begin to fall rapidly. After skull grinder I follow will shield bash as the enemy will usually use a skill to get out of its current situation. Lastly, followed with pommel smash for the daze for another possible interrupt or them not being able to use any of their skills for 1 sec.
You follow with going back to rifle, but most of the time you may not need to follow up with anything because at the end of your combination they will be running away to distant themselves from you and recover. If you pay close attention to their actions this standard combo will result with the following conditions: 13 Confusion, 14 Bleeding, 3 Burning, Blind, Cripple and Weakness. The only condition that will increase in stack depending on the interrupts you land will be confusion. Majority of the time you will see 9-13 confusion stacks on an enemy and trust me its enough to either down them or get them to 1/4 health.
Build Pros and Cons
The bright side of the using the build is definitely the damage you will see landing your conditions. In addition, with less warriors roaming especially in my server its unexpected for enemies to think of what I could do to them unlike everyone else that are rolling reapers, scrappers, chronomancers, revenant, druids and etc. Based on my conducted fights you can stand toe-to-toe with stronger classes that are rising in popularity. However, do not be naive in thinking builds is what wins most fights, I believe a player skills makes a huge difference.
The downside of using this build is the reliance of landing the combo chain. In addition, if you have noticed your mobility is lacking. Your movement speed is on the same boat as that of a Guardian. With condition as your main damage, the factors that can ruin your combo are: block, blind, stability, condition removal or transfer and immunity.
Out of the classes I have faced my chances of winning against the top three competitors is 25% against a GOOD revenant, dragonhunter and chronomancer Against a good reaper, scrapper, and everyone else its 50 – 75% chance.
Side Note
Whether you choose to entertain yourself in implementing this build, I can guarantee that you will be recognized as the few warriors out there that are running berserker trait and that can put up a fight. People say warriors got the worse or useless specialization, but I definitely disagree. Below are a few tips regarding classes I have faced based on my OBSERVATION and how to fight them using the build. Some cases it may not always be like that, but hell what do expect warrior did not get the sexiest of traits and skills from the expansion. Plus my observation.
Against Revenant
They open up using hammer for range, of course against your rifle damage its inferior compared to theirs. So you either continue poking them with rifle as you slowly run towards before switching to mace/shield OR you dodge and walk back while shooting and having them come to you. I have noticed that they never stay to long in hammer even though I have seen it dish out nice damage. Most of the time they will come at you with sword to do that dashing attack. Once they come in range pay attention to that attack skill. The moment its activated go into mace/shield and use shield stance to block those attacks or dodge twice. After counting 2 or 3 seconds that skill should be finished giving you an OPENING to follow with your standard combo as mentioned above. Once they eat your hits they will most likely drop their shield stance which heals them for incoming damage. However, by the time their out of it their health will drop fast as I barely see any revenants with condition removal. Most of their combination stance I have faced is Shiro/Glint.
Against Dragonhunter
Definitely hard class to face, especially those traps, blinds and blocks. I have seen some success in going rifle first to remove block. After that they will pull me into their traps to burst me down. I remain in rifle once I get pulled in order to knock them back away from their traps. During the same time I will activate endure pain and berserker stance to negate damage, gain health and armor, be immune to blind and burn while building adrenaline. If successful and you knock them back dodge towards them switching to mace and shield and follow up with your standard combo. From here I notice them panic in dropping their healing skill and elite skill. After that you have to repeat the same strategy again or implement something similar to avoid their second wave of traps. These hunters will always stay on top of their traps.
Against Chronomancers
Definitely a hard class to face. Stealth is annoying enough, but EVADE. Most of my successes have been withstand the initial wave of their combo of stun and conditions by using beserker stance and enduring pain or just using shield stance while I move towards them. From here they will come at you looking like a distorted character, be careful as you do not want to use your combo just yet. Count about 3 seconds then open up on them even if you miss I find it that my headbutt will hit one of their clones since the mesmer and his/her clones clump up to shatter themselves on you. Even if you miss the stun on them you have full adrenaline and taunt ready. You can either take the risk of predicting where the mesmer is and use taunt to break them out of stealth or when they reappear dodge towards them avoid incoming damage then use taunt and follow through with your combo. My battles with these guys have made me take the blunt of their damage for a good 8 seconds or more until its my turn to make my move. I can guarantee that your health will be 1/4 or you will be down with him/her in the same position as you as you fight for your life. However, most of the time the win is in their favour.
Against Reapers
First scenario, they come at you and transform into their reaper shroud. In this form they will have stability for a few seconds, I suggest you avoid them by crippling/chilling them and running away or using your shield stance to block incoming damage while their in that form. Once it goes down you can begin your assault; however, I wait a few extra seconds because I always find it they switch back to their normal forms once the skills goes on cooldown and to avoid having their shroud health be eaten away. Once they switch back I open up with my combo. Their health will drop but do not be naive that you have won the fight cause some of them carry that transfer condition skill and that is where you will get kittened up. I can not tell if they have it or not but its become a habit for me when fighting reapers to dodge or have shield stance ready right after my combo. You will probably burn dodge for no reason and even shield stance. But I come out fine trusting my gut. Second scenario, the standard condition wells type. I treat it the same way I will stop and run back so they can waste their wells. After that I will re-engage and do my thing. However, you can do the opposite and go straight to them being immune to their wells by activating berserker stance and getting in front of their face.
Against Druids/Rangers
In their ranger form I do not have a problem dealing with them in closing the distance. However, once they realize the conditions on themselves they will heal out of it mainly in their celestial form. I strongly advise you do not waste your combination against that form as they will just remove and heal it all away. At this point I just endure as much as I can by dodging, negating damage from skills and utility or knocking them back. I wait until their celestial form goes down and repeat my combo again.
Against Thieves
I just bait them. When I see thief from a far I run back while checking my behind camera view. If I see them use that shadow step skill I will run back to that spot and negate as much damage as I can till it disappears and goes on cooldown or I will fight him on that spot. If your near a wall or corner lead him/her towards there cause their objective is to BACKSTAB you, fighting them in an open field is still dangerous especially against REALLY PRO ones. Whatever you choose to do get ready to drop endure pain as well as berserker stance to break stun negate damage and avoid incoming conditions mainly blind. Their initial attack is always that stun thing. After your free open with your headbutt or if you miss just basic attack with some of your attack skills while you wait to build adrenaline based on your active berserker stance. When ready go into taunt and follow with your attacks.

This is the only thing that somewhat feels effective for me in PvP.
Still having huge trouble with dragonhunters, sometimes scrappers too.
If you don’t confusion chain someone to kitten in one burst you’re pretty dead.

After the patch this is what I found was most effective (I swap between viper’s and sages)
Still not the power berserker that I want to run but until Anet fixes the class that’s probably not gonna happen… I miss my GS :c

This is my dual sword warrior as he is now.

I don’t bother with weapon swap, since all my weapon skills have such a very short cool down, the longest being 12 seconds, and without Discipline there is not that much value in swapping for me. So far I have not felt I was missing out on anything that way.

The build is based on sustained damage through long-lasting bleeds, I get around 20 stacks if the enemy doesn’t die before, and on burst damage through burning from Flaming Flurry and King of Fires (procced by Berserk Mode or Shattering Blow). I don’t use the Last Blaze trait because then my Berserk Mode and Primal Burst cool down is just too long, I find I do much more damage this way.

With 63% bleed/burn duration and ~1700 condition damage (Furious trait adds like 100-200 on average due to insane crit chance, I do plenty of damage, while having a good dodge uptime due to food and Signet, great condition removal with Mending, Cleansing Ire, and again the Signets. My initial Berserk Mode is fueled with Signet of Precision, which has shorter cool down due to Signet Mastery.

Shield Master trait allows my Riposte skill to reflect all projectiles for two seconds, on a twelve second cool down. So against melee attacks, I can block and retaliate with a nasty stack of bleeds, and against ranged opponents I can reflect reliably and very often.

Defy Pain and Dead or Alive traits make me quite hard to kill, on top of the 3300 armor and Adrenal Health. I don’t have much experience in PvP, but I can easily solo all the group Hero Points (I need like 3-4 minutes per HP) in Heart of Thorns, due to the high damage combined with high defense and healing.

Savage Leap on a very short cool down is also nice for mobility and easier traveling, since you can use it to jump large gaps or get out of fights quickly and reliably. I can’t really be kited either in PvP, since Impale gives me like a 7K ranged condi bomb, and Flaming Flurry is also ranged with its 9K condi bomb. Both are very difficult to cleanse, since they are applied over 2-4 seconds. Signet Mastery also makes it hard to block or reflect those projectiles, since I get 6 seconds of Unblockable (only 20s cool down) whenever my target drops below 50% health.

I am vulnerable to stuns, I guess that is the only weakness in my build that I’ve found so far, as I only have one stun breaker with Head Butt.

Of all the characters I’ve made, this was by far the most fun and enjoyable, as it plays extremely intuitively and simply, without any complex rotations.

I’m looking for a detailed review of my build.

I’m running a sort of “glass cannon” Rifleman (Power, Precision, Ferocity) with a focus on not getting hit; I use rifle skill 4, hidden pistol, and endurance regen perks to avoid doing so. For backup I use a sword and shield, again avoiding getting hit using skills 2, 4 and 5.

This is as close as I could get it using that website:

I mostly play in PvE but I’d like to know if this would work in PvP.

You stand to benefit more from making friends than making enemies.

Also I hate my user ID.

Glass cannon will melt in pvp. but hey in pvp lobby you should be able to get some toughness and vit into your stats. Rifle works for certain classes though you might having a hard time killing someone best go in groups.

Im not that a pro yet im still readjusting my warrior since i just got back to the game.

So my warrior’s pvp build is a Greatsword Berserker bruiser. The build in detail is here
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Oc7m_-kVsjg&t
and to see how I fight with it
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G64Q2BtY96Y&t=

I’m pretty sure it’s a terrible build in competetive fights but it suits my style and I love using the kittening Greatsword. These are for those in pvp who want to use it without being total glass cannons
