Now its all condi in raids. (Well it was already condi based but ofc lets nerf power more so there should clear that power builds are not allowed anymore..)

I want out of this condi hellscape. I guess you shouldn’t play Warrior if you… I dunno… want to be a Warrior.

condi builds need vipers (well some parts anyway), which needs HoT. I mean what other reason would they have to nerf power builds to the ground.

Viable and Balanced

Blame WVW to be honest. Condi damage can be really high because it can be removed. Can’t remove gigantic powercrits.

Presumably condi berserker builds got buffed because they want berserker to be the condi elite spec and spellbreaker to be the power one.

A similar thing happened last patch with power mesmers getting massive buffs and condition builds didn’t get anywhere near the same benefits, presumably due to an intent for condition builds to use Mirage.

I’m assuming that too, but boy Spellbreaker will have to be broken AF to get Power Warrior back into the meta regarding PvE

Well if Spellbreaker turns out to be a purely pvp build or it hits like a wet noodle on TopChef , Renegade does looks fun! Feels very much like the Ritulaist of which I never got to play so that’s cool! Gotta have options nowadays I reckon. But fingers crossed the new warrior elite is just that…elite! This weekend can flesh it out for sure.

Based on the traits, and what exists elsewhere for axe and greatsword, I think it’s safe to say that power spell breaker is going to have a lot less dps than the current power builds.

Ugh condi this condi that. Sick of having to be condi on every kitten class almost. The only ascended set I have is heavy power and it’s useless on warrior and rev, 2/3 of the classes that can wear it. I can’t afford to craft another set or convert sets all the time. Even if I could, I don’t want to. I’m a warrior, I want to swing my greatsword and do respectable damage, instead I have to apply DoTs like every other freaking class. So frustrating.

You just described exactly where I stand too.
1 ascended heavy power full set.
No intention of playing condition.

Spellbreaker is power-focused though so that’s good for the future
What sucks though it’s that it just might not be viable enough for dps in PvE.
The dps might actually be lower than core warrior or even power zerker.

finnally someone that understand me.

If I have something that baffles me, it’s requests that I see here and there to turn a warrior into a clone of the engineer (press buttons race) or thiev / Mesm (jumping/hide/hit and run ballerina).

Even the “counter” thing is an escape from the warrior concept, in most games the counter-attack specialist is the guardian, not the warrior. Apparently the current guardian full of retallation buffs seem had this purpose originally.
