Guild Wars 2

So…as of late I’ve been finding playing Warrior a bit dull. I’ve decided to stop trying to be “good” and decided it was time to play for the hell of it. I think most Warrior mains know that in PvP things have been tough. I find it’s more fun to go total glass and then be pleasantly surprised when you burst people down rather than be disappointed running something “meta.”

So, there’s a few rules to this:

• You have to use the Berserker Amulet in your build. No Marauder.

• Your build can’t just be Hammer/GS or another meta build with Zerker Ammy.

• You can have sustain like shield and double Endure Pain, but try to keep the focus on high damage and burst.

I’ll start with a couple:

I’ve been favoring Sigils of Blood and Leeching as ways to get a little bit more sustain while still dealing damage. Could use Runes of Vamp on most of these but that feels like cheating.

I’ve never bothered with the defensive line, or things like endure pain. Offense is the only defence, oh and mobility with sw/wh :D

Sword / shield for disengage, 100b setups, and final thrust. It jest feels good bursting eles down before they can pull off a 2nd water rotation.

I run one of two builds.

My blade master

and my skull crusher.

The mace version I run more often in PvP than the sword version. I don’t do a lot of PvP anymore though, I’ve only done enough for the titles I’ve wanted and Phoenix rank. Mostly I’m a WvW roamer although I do frontline in those same builds as well. With a shield and stances it’s actually relatively easy to frontline in zergs as long as you know how to pay close attention to the flow of a fight. It’s also really fun to push straight through to the backline and harass the Ele’s and Necro’s a bunch. Can’t tell you how many easy kills I’ve gotten by landing a Flurry and Hundred Blades on full glass light armors that way.

Never been a fan of tanky or meta Warrior builds. The mobility and damage a Warrior can pump out and how “in your face” it feels is what makes me love it. Just never have the same kind of fun when I’m in Soldier’s.
