Warrior Leap Skills SUCK
Turn on melee assist if you have it off. It might be the cause of your problem because the leap sometimes places you behind the person if collision is ignored causing you to miss.
Engineer says hi.

I’ll start by saying you’re probably not alone in feeling that way towards a warrior. But the REST of the community (and I mean a whole bunch of them) would tend to disagree.
Okay, so your problem is the leap skills and the leap skills only. I suppose that’s the point: relying on the leap skills only. Play again. You know that the opponent moves around a lot. Most people would probably:
A. Gain swiftness boon
B. Use control skills, with the inclusion of cripple/immobilize
C. Go ranged.
Who does not want swiftness boon? Everybody wants swiftness boon.
So, there was a statement in your post that said “you’ll have to wait until your immobilize, cripple or kd move is back up again”. The warrior skill Throw Bola goes a whooping 4 second immobilize with an astonishing 20 second cooldown. In this regard, the 4 second immobilize is MORE THAN ENOUGH for a single leap skill to land.
Should the immobilize fail (evaded) or it was removed by condition removals, the next option is to go ranged. It will help keep the pressure on while your other skills are on cooldown.
And with the mention of Rush, I assume this is the Greatsword skill, which happens to favor mobile playstyle with its two gap closers, namely Skill 3 and 5. If it is the Bull Rush skill, it catches the opponent ever so that the chances of it missing is still low.
And a final word: Remove your statement “we just seem so useless compared pretty much every other class…”. It may be your opinion but you’d definitely draw fire in this forums.

Not that I disagree with the basic premise of your post I just want to point out to you that throw bola almost never lands, can be strafed away from and suffers from terrible terrible pathing issues. There’s a reason why most warriors don’t use it anymore (we’d like to, but it’s bad). Other than that yeah you do have a point about setting up moves, but the OP is correct when he talks about the pathing being pretty bad for most of the warrior ‘leap/charge’ style moves.
Just ask anyone about Rush, bullscharge, sword2 leaps going wonky.
Edit: Also, noone here is disagreeing that engi’s could use some love btw but warriors are still hurting in a few major areas. Guard/Mes/Thief/Ele are all shining paragons of amazing class capability. Ranger/Necro are good, but not in the top tier like the above four and engi’s and warriors are in the “need some fundamental fixes” tier.

Ha. My entire sPvP and WvW build focuses on Eviscerate and the only “misses” I get are when a mesmer pops a clone in their place while I’m mid-air, which rarely happens. Combined with the bow’s pin down you’ve got yourself a great single target nuke.

Ever since these last few patches my 3 and 5 skills on GS and bulls charge seem to lag behind targets or miss completely. I have melee assist on and have tried it off but no difference. Its not just warrior moment skills that are having a problem. My thief’s heart seeker misses constantly, my mesmer’s blink and phase retreat seem to work then instantly revert back to my original position.
Something in these patches seriously screwed with the movement skills of every class and pathing in general
i personally only ever have problems when they’re on different level of terrain, both above and below me. if they’re on level ground it usually works right. anything that affects movement speed or animation (quickness!) screws it up however.

I have a warrior alt that I got to 80 last month. Switched back to my main after I got bored. To clear up:
I thought that if something does not work (i.e. miss), you’d always have something up your sleeve to compensate. I agree on the points that leap skill pathing should be improved because I, too, understand the frustration of having a secured kill only to miss because of issues stated at the OP. This does affect warrior playstyle as it gives a feeling of hesitation whether or not the said leap skill will land. And we all know warriors should not be hesitating.

You just turn off auto target… and why would guardians need to charge through 20 enemies to get away??? They just tank them all and walk out.
Anyways, my whole build, which is centered around auto attack and eviscerate spamming every 8 seconds is pretty much useless… since eviscerate never hits. Plz, Anet, why do leap skills not work and why does an ultimate move only have 300 range?

Use Sword/Shield, while taking Bull’s Rush as a Utility.
Savage Leap→Shield Bash→Bull’s Rush

all leap skills works this way, you will leap to your target’s current location, is same with heartseeker from thief, sometimes you fail it 2 times in row if your target moves, but is spammable
eviscerate won’t hit your enemy at 300 range unless he is imobile.Is in same situation with killshot, you cast skill on 900 -1000 range and untill you shot, enemy is out of range
