Give me some ideas of the races which look the BEST in the amazing armors in Guild Wars 2?

Female or male, maybe even pics to support that….

New to the game back after a LONG hiatus so any guidance would be greatly appreciated

Personally I like the Norns for heavy armor. Especially the very large body type. Always played giant type toons in mmos so…

I would suggest the Charr as well but something about running on all fours turns me off. But when they do stand up they look pretty fierce in heavy armor as well.

The Charr does have a certain ruggedness to it

My only asura is a male warrior and i like the look in shadow dyed dragon armor.
It´s realy a matter of taste. The small guy hitting like a giant :-).

As someone who’s remade characters a few (read: several) times for the sake of fashion, Charr work best for a berserker style look, since their cultural goes so well that way, while Norn and Humans go best for a knightly style look.

Asura have their own tech-warrior thing with their cultural, and the salads have their salad armor.

I’ve actually been strongly considering rerolling from meta human female to charr male. Not 100% that I want to do it, especially when my current warrior is 100% map complete and all that jazz. Ascended gear though, so I wouldn’t miss that, except for my Mara WvW gear.

Asura Warrior has been my main since I’ve started and I don’t regret it even a little. The animations are top notch, the voice lines are awesome, it’s just a quality character. My secondary choice would be Charr if only to circumvent the problem of tiny model=tiny weapons. But seriously, I love Asuran warriors.

Female human all the way. Armor combinations look really beautiful on them (this is not the classic semi-naked BIS armor MMO) the voice acting is great, the attack animations are fluent and graceful. They look great holding a Greatsword that will be your weapon to go most of the time while leveling and once you hit lvl 80.

Female charr are really beautiful. It’s hard to build a functioning non-human anatomy, to the extent that most non-human races in MMOs are just humans with different heads on them. It’s also hard—APPARENTLY—for game designers to resist the temptation to differentiate females of different races the same way humans are. In Neverwinter, for crying out loud, the female dragons have large mammary glands and hips. Yeesh.

Female charr are different. They look like something you could actually see out in some world. (Male charr, not so much. Most male charr heads have such poor dentition they couldn’t chew their own food, the poor things, and would lacerate their own lips with every word.)

I like Silvar1, and i take the verdant weapons, and cultural armor. (just don’t use Female, Arborist Armor, as I think I’m the only Silvari who uses it, and i’d like to remain unique)

Try to stand out in the crowd. Go human female with scarf skin, reading glasses and bunny ears.

norn always look good as warriors. charr is an acquired taste

I’m partial to Norn because it’s all I use really but the Charr animations are superb.
