Hi fellow Warriors!
Feeling the pinch at the moment or a wee bit inadequate when fighting as you roam in WvW as a vanilla Warrior or as a not quite there Berserker ?
Well here is a dark pill you can swallow and transform yourself into a condi-pumping, flaming confusion machine !
Want to down opponents in 15 seconds or even 2 shot them with skull grinders after you taunt them (courtesy of stacks of confusion, stacks of bleed and blinds) ? NO worries!
You can even break stealth thanks to Bloody Roar and the Taunt it applies, forcing the hidden party to auto attack and revealing themselves when they hit you.
It’s a Condi -Brawler which focuses on bleeds, burning, confusion (perplexity), blinds, taunting and CC with reasonable base-line weapon damage (final thrust still crits for 4-5k) thanks to the use of Sinister Gear. Focus is on Berserker up-time and the use of Primal Burst Skills.
Let’s re-visit the new primal burst skill “Skull Grinder” to see why it works so well with the perplexity rune-set.

Yes that’s right – this burst skill stacks confusion,bleeds and a blind plus daze natively. Plus it doesn’t suck kitten like standard mace skull crack does atm. Normal skull crack has no place in this build.
It’s not unusual to see your oponent with 12+ stacks of confusion on them after landing this skill. It has a 5 second cool-down too. You’ll be wanting to land two of these whilst in beserker up-time.
This build is not all about confusion because we have access to some serious burning here with torch and the new burst skill flaming flurry. Let’s re-visit this skill.
“Flaming Flurry” – “Lash out with a flurry of strikes that destroys projectiles and shoots fireballs at foes in front of you”

Landing one of these will burn your opponent at around 5k+ per tick. The best thing is you can move with this skill unlike standard flurry so get right in your opponent’s face.
Torch is there to apply pressure via cripple,burns and you also can cleanse 2 conditions with flames of war. You’ll want to cripple and burn first with torch skill blaze breaker, get close, flames of war then savage leap with sword straight after so you activate fire field ability and add extra burning damage via fire shield combo finisher.
Keep up pressure with sword auto attack by stacking bleeds. Don’t forget to mix things up and use standard flurry if you’re having issues locking down your foe.
You have plenty of blocks with mace and shield, coax out use of stability by using pommel on mace and interrupt your enemy with shield bash.
Primary weapon set- Sword / Torch. Secondary set-Mace / Shield.

First utility choice is optional. If fighting heavy CC opponents you could take Outrage. Fighting a Dragon Hunter ? – take SoM.
Taunt and interrupt your foe by entering into Beserk mode (will also apply confusion if timed right) TIP- be within 300 range of your opponent (the wiki description is incorrect) when first activating Berserk so they will be affected by the taunt and come at you. Pretty much a guarantee that you’ll be able to land either a skull grinder or flaming flurry unless they stun break. You should be landing these.
The other optional tweak is to take head butt as your elite skill, outrage in first utility and select Eternal Champion as your grandmaster trait.Head butt will replace taunt in helping you set up landing your primal burst skills. You can also run with mace/sword instead of shield.
