Yay warrior buffs
Good buff to warriors. Thanks Anet!
Heals now looks sustain warrior and put him in equality level of sustain with anothers classes.
- Healing Signet granting good heal
- Healing Surge compensating the high cd and animation with good good heal.
- Mending buff allowing remove 3 condition every 20s, the heal reduction compensate the cd and adictional cleanse.
- Good buf in Rush and Bull’s charge. Now these skills are less predictable, allowing GS builds to chain his combos. The ajust in strength tree also helps so much.
- Good buff in sword #4, provides diversification, extra condition for input more pressure, more dmg and/or control over foe.
- Good buff in Rampage, now this skill allow chain combos that can change the game in warrior’s favor. But i think that cd and duraction still incompatible if compared to same skill in Engineer, this forces most of PvP warriors to run Signet + Rune of Lissa. Then, Rampage will sill inviable.
- Signet of Might still the same thing, I think this signet shouldn’t have limit of attacks.
In general… I liked very much
I need mobility i need my 5 second weapon swap, have they fixed this bug no, if something is traited for it should kitten well kittening work. Very annoying.
Targeting hasn’t been fixed, the times even though i haven’t targeted a friendly, i’m on one instead of whom i thought i’d targeted.
The only good maybe the clean up of animations, but skills are laggy anyway.

And possibly the single largest Warrior issue (IMHO anyway): Warrior Sustainability!
I for one, am eager to see how these changes play out. This may actually resolve, or come very close to resolving, the issues that non-zerker warriors face with health pool attrition issues, and condi-removal.
Remember, a linear increase in balance issues tend to result in an exponential decrease in viability. What’s that mean? That means by fixing the Warrior sustain, it may greatly alleviate some of the pain from other issues as well.

Time to re-awaken the shout/banner bunker warrior, 1600hp every 3s (w/Adrenal Health), and more from either shouts or banners. You could probably convert the cc warrior build into a very similar build, but more of a bunker.

If you cared about necromancer, then this patch would not have been there. Believe what you want, perceive class balance as you want, but necromancer are almost useless now, and the worst 1 vs 1 class in the game. All my investments Annihilated. Now i must reroll.

Show me a vid of the op-ness of necromancers. Thief, mesmer still way more op. But if you wanna live in phantasyland go ahead.

Any plans to give thiefs a perma +25% speed trait?
I mean warrior have one and the requirement is really absurd for a melee class, that have an elite signet with 30 sec haste + the massive movement of the greatsword or the burstskills from the hammer.
Thiefs should be the fastest class, but they dont.
Ok thiefs have the Fleet Shadow Trait an the Signet of Shadows, but the requirement for the Trait is very expensive for a short speedbuff(it saves one sec.), and in stealth the most times useless, because noone know where you are or what you do.
And for the Signet, its necessary to use a skillslot, which has much more effect on the survivability than a Tier 1 trait.
I think the thief has deserved a better passive speed and mobility, if they must fight without any deff and the smallest base hp in this game.

First you must have life force. No kills no life force. Pvp a starting necro is a wet doodle. Secondly, so many ways to counter death shroud. He’s going to bomb you? interrupt him, run away. When he shuts down DS, there you go, 7-10 sec cooldown, he can’t bomb you anymore. Or he already lost all life force by betting to fast.
No excuse anymore for not giving ‘hide mounts’-option

The real Warrior buff these last few patches, have been the fact that they are actively nerfing other loved classes. This sounds crazy, I know.
Indirectly this is giving Warriors a HUGE buff, because when everyone is lowered to poo-poo status, WE WILL, float out on top as the smelliest and meanest one.To be honest, I’d rather ALL classes be POWERFUL, DIVERSE and OP in their own sense, than have all classes in the game be dragged in the nerf mud and end up like lowly Warriors.
. . I don’t want this game to end up like other popular games (LoL, WoW, etc) where they simply make all classes/champions homogenous in order to easier balance the game . . . .
Disagree with this wholly. The devs have said many times that they made Warrior first and it was the benchmark that all other classes were gauged against. Warrior is also the most “balanced” of the classes. The only reason they have been underpowered is because every other class was too powerful. If everyone is brought down to the level of the warrior then the game will be much better.
If you are worried about homogeneous classes then worry bout everyone being “OP” and having access to every buff, every condi, all the burst damage, all the sustain etc etc, that is when things become samey and boring. Every class should have a major flaw or weakness.

Except you can go full zerker and still get 1200hp every 3s.

Shortbow? If a thief is being outpaced by anyone then you’re doing it wrong fella…
Shortbow has the same speed, but cost ini which has an effect on all skills not on only one.
And acrobatic is, without grandmaster, a very weak traitline

Anyone test Staggering Blow out yet? Curious if its much of a change or not…
I love these changes! I already healed for an insane amount with my bunker build enough that I could stand still and regen more than most people could hurt me for with the occasional shout heal to undo what little damage they did to me. Now I can afford to lose some of the healing gear and add some damage gear and ACTUALLY be able to do some damage while still being just as tanky as I was before woohoo!

Now I feel powerful in sPvP just because rush and bull’s charge actually sometimes manage to hit the enemy. Now they work like I think they should always have worked.
Not sure what you are doing with rampage to make it really good to work with.
You don’t get to use your own weapon skills and your utility skills are also not available.

Because raining on everyone’s parade is how jerks deal with grief. And apparently, a few nerfs to mechanics that I’m still skeptical 90% of Necros were utilizing properly anyway qualifies as “grief”.
Also, we had a dev poster, so those who were taught as children that negative attention is still attention are just hunting for a red poster to pat them on the head, at which point they’ll spit in his/her face anyway.
Further, yes. That was heavy on the first page. Then it turns into how using DS as a block mechanic (a really terrible one that takes careful preparation and sacrificing the profession mechanic to serve as only a block and not as a utility) was super pro and not having it will break the class against, I guess just backstab. It’s a bummer when you have to try to time a dodge or AoE CC to counter a backstab Thief. Maybe I should tell them it’s what I’ve had to do since forever.
Oh, then high-level tPvPers mentioned that the state the Necro was in before the nerfs wasn’t all that viable in high-level tPvP anyway.
It’s been a pretty wild ride over there. It’s like a logical discourse vacuum that soaks up any attempts to have an actual conversation about it and outputs flames.

In 1on1 rampage make you for 20 seconds invuln. and you have also nice skills to take pressure on your enemy.
Healing signet is awsome now. Like the patch really much. We need only now a trait which give us regeneration with every movment skills

And ironic enough of all the enemies i meet the warrior are the hardest (no not the noob warrior, but the one with melandru runes/lemangrass soup + stun lock build.)
Warrior’s may not be op atm (I wouldn’t give em that), but today my lvl 80 warrior comes main. That’s for certain. I did the same with necro when earlier patch hits. Was necro op? nope. Where they finally Viable: yes.
Perhaps the reason i’m raging over this is because i spend a lot of gold on necromancer and it has more sentimental value (mained one gw1) then all other gw2 professions. Still in my own view of ‘meta’, necromancer just became nr 8th. You may disagree, but for me necro has lost everything that’s interesting, right now in the patch. I take Endure pain any day over the new nerfed Death shroud, just to give on example.
But here we go warrior main, lets see how long it will take them to nerf warrior (every profession I mained has been nerfed). So you should be scared.

So I’m running almost my same Mace/Shield Sword/Mace build but I swapped in Healing Signet to try. The sustain feels very very nice, I’m gonna try some tournies since hotjoin is a bad test but I feel like a beast right now having already gotten good with my build prior to the buffs.

Surge is awesome, don’t get me wrong. Especially nice for adrenaline gain, but I’ve got plenty of places to get my adrenaline from…condition management not so much.
Done a few 1on1 fights against a mesmer and it was fun. Full Adrenalin and especially signet of health feels great. Good healing, invuln. when i activate berserker stance and endure pain ( 25% stance inccreased) and 20 seconds invlun. with rampage ,too.

Some self-rooting skills make sense. Like Staggering Blow. I’ve been a Hammer Warrior since I hit 80 on my Warrior a month or two after release, and I see no reason for one to be able to use it on the move.

You must be truly terrible at LoL if you think all the characters are homogenous. Also why the negative nancy attitude there? If you actually read the patch notes rather than frothing at the mouth in re-re rage, a lot of classes got upgrades / improvements. The only actual nerf of any kind was terror’s damage reduction. That’s it. Everything else were fixes. Stop being a kitten and do some actual play testing before crying on the forums.

I’ve played yesterday when the patch came in. After that i sticked with Healing Surge and feeled a little op with it.
Could defend a spot in tpvp against two guardians. I have 21k hp and with 3 bars adrenaline it’s nearly a full heal. It’s getting harder to kill me now and i will stick with healing surge.

If both of those Guardians were bunkers I’m not surprised. That is awesome though that healing surge finally is the big burst heal it’s meant to be though.
