Client crash = Desonorable BAN
The Dishonorable system is automated. It’s a three strikes and you are temporarily out setup (note Anet differentiates between “Ban” (which is permanent) and “Suspension”.) It’s three strikes because they recognize things like this happen. If it was your third instance, you can try asking Anet support to lift it (not sure if they can) but it lasts at most 72 hours, as I recall. You will just have to wait the first debuff out.
As for AFKers, report them. Anet does not spend all their time searching for AFKers and such – can’t recall if there is an AFK option in the menu for SPVP but if not I’d report them for either harassment/greifing or botting.
If all it took was to convince the game you crashed to avoid dishonorable it would be abused.
There really is no solution other than to stop crashing and get a more stable computer/network.
You are causing your teammates to lose if you keep crashing all the time, if you don’t have a stable network then perhaps you shouldn’t be playing tournaments.
there is a simple solution, when someone have a client crash, the system should simply remove you from the party and insert a new player, simple and logical.I can’t take a ban because any provider is doing work on the lines.
I have never written " my client crash always ",nor even be the cause for the members of my team to play at a disadvantage, the temporary ban for tournaments should be used to punish misbehavior by the players, and not as a result of technical problems beyond the control of the latter,is so absurd?
its unfortunate but necessary. otherwise people would use client crashing as a way to leave the match without any consequences.
if you hardly ever crash like the rest of us then it shouldn’t effect you,
this was just a freak unlucky occurrence that you crashed in a tournament game.
its analogous to the prison system, not everyone who goes to prison is guilty, there will be a very small percent who were just unlucky to be found guilty,
but the system works, it keeps the real criminals at bay.
