Essentially the design is this, there is a mechanic which will allow a free tournament group to play Paid ques so that ONE paid NA/EU (so 2 total) is always popping. The team that gets decided is favored by group size, so a 5man queing for free might actually get a free ride to paid. This would fix a lot of the matchmaking issues in the meantime. It would make it exciting to queue up again for a lot of unflavored (casual/bad/whatever you call it) teams. It would fix the off hour queues by essentially giving a few people the chance to experience paid. This mechanics only kicks in when there isn’t one paid rotation on each region. It fills the gaps and rewards the players. Make it happen chop chop.

A lot of respect to the developers and the designers who created this game. Hopefully you like my design and can see the great benefits it would bring to your game. Feel free to have it as your idea!

Nope. Not while wins and losses are recorded. People will get mad.

They could easily still make it count the type of tournament that the user intended. It’s not like those records mean anything yet anyways. This is not a design about feelings it’s about putting grease on the wheels of the engine.

i would totally love this. we q for paids and then get a group of ppl that dont expect to be matched against the great teams. easy win.

the downside is the sacrifice kids (free ride team) would probably break there computer for that happening to them.

lets say a nfl football team gets suspended for a game but the nfl finds a near by highschool and says “guess what kids you get a free ride to the nfl” how you think that game plays out

but great idea i hope the community keeps pitching ideas we need something to happen.

But imagine if the NFL football season didnt have enough teams so they went and played the highschoolers anyways. It’s bound to happen. When the paids dont pop good teams q for free.

i agree you gotta have the nfl.

i agree if all they have is highschoolers to make it happen then i say send in the highschoolers. we need to still be entertained.
