So on the EB, I capped the supply camp then turn to Langor. Killed all the guards ran supply to build a ram while killing all the respawning guards. Finally get the gate down and people show up, so I’m like cool. We take Langor, then I suggest we go for Quentin.
They where like no we don’t want to spread forces thin. So I’m like whatever, take down a reinforced gate while dealing with guards and annoying Kains. Guess what? Nobody came to help, even when I was like the gate is down I could use some help.
No they just sat in Langor waiting for upgrades on an attack that never came. Really wish I could solo the tower champs.
I saw a post about War Machine coming to Kaineng to “train”. Not certain what they thought they were going to train against? A couple of under populated servers?
As far as i can tell, what they have learned is “The Zerg”, I’m sure it is some sort of dance, and can only imagine that you know that you are doing it right if you come away with sore toes from everyone stepping on them..

Please read the whole post next time. They are transferring for personal Guild Reasons, they chose Kaineng because -in the past- they came here to train. For example…When DR was here.
I kinda feel bad for all 3 servers, et and fc are simply not gonna get a look in now. Kain, whilst I’d like to see you guys move up – ultimately dominating tier 8 24/7 won’t matter. What matters is the performance of the tier above you. If that fight remains even (as it has been all week) then non of those servers will drop enough points to unleash the dragon from tier 8. I forecast a very boring few weeks for tier8.
Dr was only able to escape because the tier above became unbalanced enough for et to drop.
I guess the current rank system can create some very balanced matches which are fun for those involved, but can also roadblock and keep imbalance in other tiers.

you may have a few weeks of this but it will level out eventually.
a large guild recently switched to that server creating a population gap between it and the others in that tier. Arenanet’s ranking system is a little lacking so it will take a while for it to get you guys bumped up to where you should be seeing competitive matches.

its not normal, after devona rest left, we had a surge of guilds pop up in kaineng. As a result, its what you see right now. So until we begin to move up, we’re going to see this for awhile.
Griz from Mend here, thanking Kaineng for an extremely epic multi-hour battle over Speldan and Mendon’s. Shout-out to the guild REN, whose thieves gave us the most entertaining fights of the evening, and whose skill in coordination was clearly visible in their stealth flanking attacks on Speldan.
All in all, when they finally trebbed our wall and broke in, (it took about 5 trebs to do this as we kept breaking them with our banzai charges) it helped us all reevaluate what victory really means. Was it a loss to finally lose Mendon’s? Or was it a victory to hold it against 3v1 odds for 2 hours, destroying multiple trebs? Whether your opinions are for the former or the latter, we left EB that night feeling victorious, for when the few can stand against the many, and give as much as we got and more, that, my friends, is victory.
I hope we can look forward to more entertaining and eventful fights like this last one before the servers reset on friday.

This attitude is exactly why WvW will remain fun in spite of the population difference. Both FC and Kain faced a similar situation with DR stuck in T8, and we gave them hell every week. For the moment, Kain is the big fish in the little pond. There’s a light at the end of the tunnel, though – if next week is similar to this week in T7, Kaineng stands a good chance of moving up then.
Unfortunately for Kaineng, though, I think it’ll be more of the same in T7. DR completely demolished on their way through. Thinking it’ll be more of the same for Kaineng – the T7 servers don’t appear to have the same hungry attitude as we do in little T8.

Yeah, I hear you. I’ve been privately calling folks out on that. I remember how much I used to hate it when DR zerglings did that to me. I mean, when it’s 40-1, is there really a reason to celebrate anything?
Ridiculing people only makes them not want to play… and if folks don’t play, who will we fight? PvDoor just isn’t that much fun.
Edit: Agri, I’ll apologize on behalf of the server. A bunch of folks have apparently forgotten where we were a few weeks ago.

I was just in WvW for a bit and was saddened when I saw people jumping and laughing at corpses of our opponents. It is sad to see that some of my world mates (though not necessarily the majority) have forgotten how to be respectful.
What a phenomenal night. Back and forth the entire time between all three servers in EB – really thought ET was going to get our garrison in our BL and FC was going to take SM in EB. Whew, those were some tough defenses!
Also, earlier, ended up in a 1v1 with a warrior (I think?) from FC on the hillside next to Bluevale supply camp in Kaineng BL – sorry, I didn’t catch the guild tag. What an excellent fight. I lost, but I swear, if he had more than 50 health, I’ll eat a shoe. LOL And classy as well – appreciate the /bow after the fight. Great job!

I am sad to see that people in same server doing this like a 5 years old kid. But truly speaking, players like that appears in every servers (I’ve stayed in HOD / SBI / SOR and now Kain), and I believe it the same in every game and unavoidable. Just ignore them and consist in your way.
On the off chance that I actually kill someone in a 1v1 (I’m a bloody support/spirit-built mini asura ranger who flees at the drop of a hat, so it doesn’t happen often) I don’t /laugh. I /bow. Then I stick around the body for a little while to make sure a zerg isn’t incoming.
Then I die anyway.
I dislike being on Ferg’s sometimes. We had a HUGE run going earlier and have some new clans, but despite a rather hefty zerg with some split packs hitting supply convoys we all of a sudden got the “Outnumbered” buff and the Kaineng SoS lawnmower came plowing through the grass of my head.

The demoralizing factor isn’t the Guilds…it’s that Kaineng owns -everything- for the -entire week- and -STILL- won’t go up a Tier.(Yes, there were times when the other two Servers held things, but I think everyone’s willing to admit that was VERY rare, and never held for long.)

LOL For the most part, we were content just sparring in our borderlands for the night outside Bluevale – and then a nice sized ET zerg comes along and knocks on the door of our garrison. They came really close to taking it, too. We ended up rallying just about everyone on all four maps, and then that angry swarm of bees went to EB and FC BL afterward.

See, this is one of the things that I was worrying about..
Kaineng has a very strong force even BEFORE War Machine came.
Oceanic or not.
Suddenly all that credits were lost.
I just hated to start seeing people say "Oh Kaineng, you guys moved up to tier 4 because of WM, not because of you"
Seeing DR is about to head to T4 soon, I’m pretty confident that Kaineng has the same power to reach T4 on our own, without too much of a problem.
After all, we were toe-to-toe with DR, with FC back then, I’m sure we can manage. Kaineng has worked hard for this day, and I honestly doesn’t want people forgetting this part.

Ferg is also seeing an influx of new guilds. While the additional manpower is greatly appreciated, there are some growing pains. We try to promote a culture of good sportsmanship on Ferg, and unfortunately we are already seeing people dancing on corpses. I hope Kain and ET know that those of us born on Ferg do not condone such behavior. I hope we don’t start seeing use of exploits and cheats as well. If that happens, I would have rather stayed a losing server than have to stoop to that level to win.
There is also a funny side to the influx of new people. I don’t think some of them are familiar with the different playing style needed when you are 1 vs 300. It’s a whole different ballgame, and when they see that Kain zerg coming, the reactions are priceless.
It will be extremely important, now more than ever, for us to remember our roots as we inevitably move up. Keep it classy, Kaineng. Big numbers shouldn’t mean a big head.
I had a lot of fun last night. ET and Fergie kept a fire lit under our kittens the entire time I was out there. It had been a while since I had a good fight because of holidays and such, and boy did I get it handed to me in droves.

WM transfers from SBI because they think that T1 is all QQ, excuses, cheating, and unfair play.
So, they decide to then go to the lowest ranked server and… ruin it?
I had fun viewing these threads to see how people were enjoying the game despite being the lowest tier. Its a shame guilds come and ruin it.
I think that assessment and choice of words is wrong to start with, and just flat out disrespectful. I’m hoping you’re not from Kain, and if you are, shame on you. We’re better than statements like this. Everyone is welcome here. Jeez.
The WM guys have been helpful, courteous, and an all around benefit. They absolutely did not come to our server with an elitist attitude at all, and I’m glad they’re here.
Do they change things for us? Absolutely. Ruin the server? Pffffft.

West side of the map, yeah? Two catas hitting the wall? Haha that was some great skirmishing. I definitely don’t claim to be the best player out there, but my kill to death ratio is pretty dang good. However, I died more during that scuffle than I have the entire week. LOL

Just as a note, that Zerg actually started in our BL. >.> Ran through everything in the north, took Vale, and then from Vale everyone ported to EB. In EB our Zerg grew to the size you saw, only to get crushed at Anz by superior numbers of Kaineng. -.- The Zerg got back together, received bad intel that the Kaineng Zerg had been mostly wiped so headed for Anz only to get wiped again. It was -then- that they decided to hit Kaineng BL. So yeah…you can blame yourselves for that. :p

It’s a sad, sad day. Apparently using exploits on Ferg is just fine with some of the influx. Corpse dancing, and exploits, and not a single person spoke up when I said in chat that we don’t do that on Ferg. I would have rather stayed the losing server. Sorry guys, we fought the good fight. It’s not good anymore. I was born on Ferg, and I’m not leaving, but I’m going back to PvE. I’d give away all my siege, but they are soulbound.

Stick with it – unfortunately, every server has this issue and it is usually the newer transfers that do it and tarnish the whole community
MiceElf: I’m really sad to hear about this. I can understand exploiting in the higher tiers, but I had hoped that we were largely immune from this down in 7 and 8. (EDIT: Just because I understand that people do it to win doesn’t mean I think it’s appropriate in any way, I feel the need to make that 100% clear) Hopefully this hasn’t changed and is just reset night.
