Great fights Sunday around 7 to 11 west times all over. rB had a blast fighting against yaks and mags. Still learning guild names but so far pyro and kitten have really stood out to me keep up the good fight NA

Unfortunately, there are plenty of players on all servers that think taunting is cool thing to do. I avoid it as best as I can. I know there were times in my guild where we taunted people. I saw on of my guildies jumping all over a [PYRO] member and I told them to stop. Next thing you know, we’re arguing about morality in games…on a raid night!

Something that stuck in my head last night roaming solo through Battle Lands.

One was that I ran up to a Dolyak guarded by 4 Mags and 2 vets. They were obviously escorting. Killed the Dolyak. These 4 tried their hardest to down me first, but I got the Dolyak. So what I wonder is what was the point of a /dance on my corpse later? Must have made them feel better that they could do something.

Yeah, dancing/laughing when one wins a 2+v1 never made sense to me. But not everyone does it. DB didn’t do it to me when it took 4+ to down me on my saunter to the jp.

Some people play for tears, I guess.

Remember, not all players in games are mature. When it happens to me, I think that was probably some 13 year old playing on his father’s account. Though I have to admit there are some 13 year olds with more maturity than some adults in real life. That is the world we live in.

I am not stressed or bothered at all. Just found it funny.

Things will be different for Dragonbrand in tier2. When we played those servers in tier3, the third server pretty much disappeared after reset night, so it was closer to a 1v1 with each. Having a full tier2 server as a third will lessen the pressure on DB. Also, DB has picked up a few NA guilds since we last played those servers. Yes, it’s still a challenge, but it won’t be as bad as it was fighting a tier2 server in tier3.

I don’t think your few guild transfers will make up for TC’s, but I guess we’ll see! T2 is all about zergballing from what I can tell, so have fun~

T2 won’t be easy. The skill level will be higher than we face here in T3 (lol@confusion stacks), and so will be the numbers. Time will tell where we belong.

I don’t know about that, everything I hear about T2 is that they run around in superzergs and lag each other to death. I’m sure there are skilled people there as in every server, but when it’s 80vs80 then general player skill isn’t nearly as important as other factors.

The best player can be on a less powerful computer and when the lag comes, he’s suddenly terrible. So then he’s dead with his 2 frames per second showing a big ball of red, and then nothing.

Absolutely right, no player skill involved in that fight.

Saiyr, you’re right about individual skill. All servers have their share of excellent, average, and bad players – the bell curve applies.

I was talking about group fight meta (or zergballing skill, if you will). Mags are keen students of GvG, so you guys would know what I’m talking about. The meta varies from tier to tier. A particular tactic need not be “better”, but just more appropriate for the tier that a server is in. Something that worked in T4 or T3 may not work well in T2.

It will take a while for us to understand the T2 game. We have played them before, but the dynamics will be different this time, as Exedore pointed out. They may work in our favor (as per him), or not (per my belief). Time will tell.

I can confirm that TC emotes all the time. I don’t know why people think they’re any more classy than any other server.

Their most vocal forum members tend to be, when averaged out, better sportsmanship-py than most server’s most vocal forum members are.

Helps their server reputation a lot, but I suspect that their actual playerbase isn’t any better or worse than many other servers.

You, too, huh? When I was fighting this D/D ele, he laughed when I kept stealthing (I’m not GC) and couldn’t kill him (because he was bunker). So while in Stealth, I just /laugh and /laugh every time in turn. Even more so when a friend of his (another D/D ele) jumped in.

Laughing is healthy, everyone should do it more!!

Old CD were emote pros. I even learned some new things playing against them the first time… Like going up behind someone who is dead underwater and tapping back and forth to hump them.

Incidentally, I didn’t see any of that the last time we played them post-exodus. I guess there’s a high correlation between emote spammers and fairweather players.

In any case, you’re right. We are winning this tier because of our numbers. I won’t generalize the “skill” of a whole server, unless my intention is to poke. There are good and bad players everywhere.

Has everyone already forgotten the stompings DB received in T3 when TC or FA or Kain were here? I mean, we have an idea of what we’re getting into, everyone knows why we’re winning, but to demean the guilds that actually try to switch it up or fight their hardest, no matter which server they’re on, is ridiculous, childish, and reeks of self-esteem issues.

So you think the T2 server coming down to join you guys in T3 is going to be any better? FA has a monster NA and Oceanic crew and Kaineng has a much larger SEA than we do.

T3 is going to be a mess for the next few weeks with T2 servers hopping in and out of T3 like it was a month or so back. That is, unless another T1 superserver tanks . . .

the last time i played tc, they had more mindless terrible zergs than any other server i’ve ever seen.

they have good coverage, but a disproportionately large amount of bads from what i’ve seen.

ok ok i figured it out. let db slideeeee into t2 ( cuz lord knows im tired of their numbers ), and just leave mag and yaks in t3 . we can dooook it out for a while. seems pretty evenly matched. btw…wtg yaks for wearin ur tryhard pants this week.

i couldn’t agree with this more. i see db as slightly to moderately out of place in t3. so yaks and mag, we do what we can with what we have. ill be happy to see db go for a couple reasons. none of which are implying things will get better in t3. one reason…is im just tired of the same match up every week. the other reason is i think maybe this time they will do better in t2. im happy for them. we would all like to move up. that is the primary point isn’t it? good for them

I was being harsh sorry for that, and I apologise for taking your post the wrong way.

Not belittling any of db’s actual skill level on a player level, just that in our tier the coverage seems to be the biggest issue, and db simply doesn’t suffer from a problem with it (from what ive experienced as someone who plays in the later hours)… being rolled by db zergs all day regardless of how much effort you put in can make one a little jaded (the odd poster on here or on other forums from db talking about how amazing they are grates on me when from our view point it sure doesn’t feel like ‘skill’ on their part).

Im simply with those who want to see a change even if it means we get another db in the form of Kain, something, anything to get a change (im sure kain does somethings differently to db) and make it a little more interesting.
