Hope not… I’d like to see Yak’s stay. They’re a jolly organized bunch, and can really surprise everyone with their tenaciousness. We’ve learned not to take them lightly. My personal opinion is that Yak’s are stronger than Mags (PvF warriors, please don’t start another war here, it’s my personal opinion). I think they can be #8 for a long time, or maybe even #7 with their current strength.

We are going to switch places with Yak’s Bend next week because they stole a ton of points from SoS that they clearly didn’t deserve. Calvin, if you don’t want a war, then do the obvious thing: keep your opinion to yourself. I’d like to see YB stay too, but they are not, in their current state, stronger than us by any measurable statistic. I sure would like to know what your opinion is based on, besides the poop of bulls.

Took a night off from defending Mag BL last night and went to Yak’s for a small vacation. Lots of hostiles there for some reason, I don’t think I’d recommend it as a prime spot.

Dunno why I always run into <5 people trying to build open field siege. Yak’s and CD must love donating exp to me.

Either way despite the trolls this week has been fun, even as an oceanic prime player. Got in some good Garrison farming, loots, badges, and even made a few friends. Wish I could have participated in at least one fight club though, that’s my only regret. :’(

Because he wasn’t interesting in numerical accuracy or efficiency, just mashing 1s and 0s and finding a biggish number to exaggerate with.

well actually we usually golem rush after you take all our stuff so today was different.
also golems are the only way to even have a remote chance to take anything off db bl at this time of day cuze it is the fastest way to burn down a gate

This is not going to happen, and it’s only making the matchup really lopsided and time-zone dependent. I kinda wish something would change, but I don’t see it happening.

Actually it’s one and only oceanic prime commander, he’s done this tactic since his start. That pretty much explains the predictability.

Better than just using our forces to just take supply camps imo.

I don’t think we belong to T2 yet.

We came back up from T6 by slowly building our community, and attracting players. New players join the game every day, new guilds form and disintegrate every day.

Skill and builds are largely even across most servers in adjacent tiers, it’s just a matter of getting the numbers and coverage. It will be silly for us to presume that we’ll be able to further our skill to an extent that we’ll completely steamroll higher ranked servers with our current numbers.

20 vs. 60 victories just happen on this forum, and very rarely in the game.

So yeah, we need people to accomplish that goal. I’m actually in no hurry. #7 is not bad, and I like the fights we’ve been having the last few times. I can solo roam, zerg, farm, and do whatever in this tier. We’ll get there when we deserve it.

in all honesty, I posted the thread asking for NA guilds, I did not consult the entire DB server. I still want more NA players. So mag & yaks NA come on over to DB bear the mark of the Dragon! : )

Ah we didn’t relize that was ya’ll because we didn’t see any [OG], but yeah we had some really good fights. I don’t know if it was you who we fought by south east tower that ran the tank group, or the fight by the coyotes with high dps. My gut says you were the group with around 2 mesmer+3 thieves+3 dd eles. Either way i’ll tell you some class diversity will go a long way in making your group much more sustainable in longer fights.

I don’t recall saying it was the end of the world. I think I was explaining anyone on a different server would think that Dragonbrand is openly attempting to mass recruit. This supports my previous opinion of not actually doing it by yourselves.

You’re entitled to your own opinion (like everyone else) but NNK (and a number of other die-hard guilds) that have been here from the start or at least risen from T6 match by match week-by-week can totally attest to how wrong your opinion is. He means we have gone up the ranks fighting and fighting regardless of the situation and match up and odds, and we have been rising through the tiers day by day “by ourselves” meaning that we didnt do it through treason and betrayal of our server like TSYM did a number of times and other guilds with terribly fairweather reputations jumping server to server as the mood hits.

Some of us really like the fact that we’ve roughed it out, though that doesnt mean we dont appreciate all the newcomers on the way. It just means some players do not want to rise through the tiers with short cuts.

I do remember how difficult it was during tha mass exodus, it was rough times. I think in the long run the server pride benefitted from it. SEA stuck by us through it and our NA continues to rebuild… really the people that comprise DB are amazing. The new players and any xfers really have an opportunity to make a difference.

We want the work of our diligent SEA community to be rewarded. We want to move to T2, get crushed, learn from it, and do it again. We want to get better, and we want other like-minded people to join us as we do.

Some may choose to see that as an awful sentiment. Why would anyone ever think about moving forward, or progressing? Why can’t we just be happy with what we’ve got, and where we are? I personally choose not to see things that way.

There were only 3 of us from the same guild: Bunzy, me and one other Thief. The others were just randoms that happened to be around for those skirmishes (we weren’t in the same Mumble as them). I don’t remember exactly what classes they were, but your guess looks accurate enough.

But yeah, we were aware of our lack of heavies and/or a frontline. We didn’t care, though We just wanted to have some fun and you guys were much more challenging than anything we’d encountered that night. Great class synergy you guys had and very good job keeping your teammates up that we’d burst or downed.

Edit: whoops, missed where you were wondering which group we were. We were the group that fought you near the coyotes.

He’s just trying to start an argument or he’s jealous. Either way don’t worry about it. There is nothing wrong with DB trying to actually gain ground and fill in the weak spots in our WvW armor.

It’s not awful, it’s just a two different worlds and wanting to be able to do different things.

Well, if rumors of Kain’s self-destruction are true, then it is very possible DB will get propelled into Tier 2 in less than a month. While I’m not looking forward to fighting FA and TC at the same time, our Asian guilds would be happy for the competition.

All I can do is thank our SEA for being so patient with the NA guys. It must be frustrating day in and day out to take everything and upgrade a lot of it, just to wake up and find the maps mutilated.

I don’t really get the difference between transferring to a server to enjoy better fights, and getting transfers for 4-5 months to get better fights.

To put it another way, DB is asking for a lot of people to do something (transfer) that they consider unthinkable and wrong.

[OG] has disbanded you won’t see anyone wearing that tag.
We were only roaming with 3 people (2 Thieves, 1 D/D ele) under the [iLL] tag, we did however have some people from [EVOH] running with us. We actually had quite a few fights with you from what I can remember, around 4-5.
