Im seeing recruitment threads from the bottom 6 servers saying that xfers are free to them, but when i go to world selection screen only Eredon Terrace and Ferguson’s Crossing are free.
HoD = 1000 gems, and NSP + GoM are 1800 gems

Is it supposed to be like this? If so why are their servers making threads saying its free to come to them?

Im looking to move to the lower tiers but am confused by all of this

The amount of population is based on how many people are on at the time…all 6 servers have times when we have low population usually European or SEA time zone, so try gettin on quick at a non prime time hour to switch…also please consider comin to NSP we have cookies and beer!(in seriousness just check the recruitment thread)

Try at another time, during peak times server will be listed as being high population, but off-peak when less players are online, I believe they are then lsited at mid-low population servers.

Looks like the list on the site is generated dynamically on view… so the free transfers apply to whatever server is showing as Medium when you try to transfer.

This means that if you pick your time right, you can transfer anywhere for free.

It also means that if you can only make a transfer around prime time, you won’t be able to take advantage of the offer.

The news article that listed servers available just had the servers available removed. I don’t know why they keep changing it, but it’s kitten annoying.

Earlier today it listed all servers in the Tier 7 and Tier 8 brackets in NA.

Oh so they just ninja removed servers from it? Thats lame Anet, really lame

If it is dynamic though, just try transferring at night before you go to bed or in the morning when you wake up.

Sometimes ANets vaguery over basic information is infuriating.

I actually do drop aoe food buffs in wvw… i mean its bread atm, but if yu xfer we’ll bring cookies and pie

Why can’t they just admit their ranking system failed and make free transfer base on score gaps over the past month.

that was also a mistake on Anets part as surely their aim was for people to go down from the populated servers

Yes, some members from a significant guild on ET went to HoD. FC on the other hand has been receiving some very quality transfers, and has become very impressive to fight off.

Hmm, maybe. I was implying FC was more desire-able though. At least, I would prefer tactics over zergballing.

If you’re thinking of the same guild I am, then yes a portion of that guild did indeed move over to HoD. They also have some very skilled players in the guild and it had a great knack for defensive play and holding onto objectives long after most people would have died or given up. If I had to make a guestimate on the numbers that made the transfer in time, I’d say 30ish? That’s really just a WAG though.

With that being said, they were not a large guild and it’s rumored that not the entire guild was able to make the transfer before the door was closed by ANET. (i.e. no longer allowing free transfers to HoD)

Eredon Terrace has also been receiving transfers, although it’s too early to ascertain their caliber or how they’ll mesh with the existing group.

To properly evaluate an argument you must consider its source. Critical thinking is a skill they teach up in higher edumacations.

ET is no utopia but I really like what we can do with what we have. From my obviously skewed perspective ET employees far better tactics on the whole out of pure necessity.

That’s the very definition of an ad hominem attack. You discredit the source instead of the content. In higher ‘edumacations’ critical thinking consists of making valid arguments and hypothesis. It also tries to avoid irrelevance and putting others down, and leads to creating a platform for communication and progression.
